my buddy want to buy a semiauto pistol 9mm or 45acp for just fun shooting.dosnt have to be the best or most expensive just nice to shoot & easy to maintain.:beer;:beer;

I have a Taurus 9mm that shoots very nice and is EZ to maintain. If you want cheap and EZ, the Highpoint 9mm is tough to beat.

I had a glock 26 (9mm) thought it was a great little gun point and shoot. was very accurate. But i prefer my colt gold cup. If you go glock look at the 40 great gun with a higher capacity :beer;

I, uh, know a guy that has a Magnum Research Baby Eagle .40 that's a pretty nice gun and it was only $400 new in the box a couple years ago at a gun show, prolly more now that what's his name is president. I enjoy shooting it, and its comfortable to carry.
Or so he says ;)
I almost bought a XD last week, I'm regretting not doing it now.

another vote for the hi-point. 100-150 will get you a 9 or .40

These guns cant be beat for the price and dont let the naysayers fool you.

I guess it really depends on how it feels in his hands. I had a huge huge hard on for an XD 45, and then, I had an expert pistol shooter talk me out of it, because it didn't fit my hand properly. I ended up with a Springfield GI 45 Stainless. Damn I loved that gun. I'd probably go 9mm next time just because the ammo is cheaper though.

Chit, with the way ammo is right now, buy a bad azz little .22 lr! I have a Para Ordnance P-16 .40 Limited that is a great gun, I just can't afford to shoot it! The old Neos and the CZ-452 .22's are getting all the work done, I can actually afford to burn through a couple hundred rounds a weekend.

I'm probably in the minority, but I really like the Ruger P series. The stock grips suck but other than that it seems as reliable as a claw hammer. Cheap to buy, cheap to shoot. Mine has ate everything I've throw at it without a hitch.

The Glock was my service gun for years....

I have a Springfield XD 40 now....

I love the XD much more....hands down!

I have a Glock model 22 40cal S&W with a 22LR conversion, Dang thing has ate many many rounds w/out issue, My next handgun will be a Springfield XD...... Good stuff right there! Beside it will go with my SOCOM II well :D
