i am installing an RV furnace in my enclosed trailer (when ducktec ships another furnace to replace the one sent not in OEM packaging and damaged:mad::mad:). i am trying to get the installed figured out. one main question regards the exhaust from the unit......i know i don't need the "access door" since i can access the whole unit from inside the trailer. if i install the unit (atwood 2540) flat on the wall, is there a way to "90" the exhaust and exit it through the wall of the trailer? thanks for the info.

I installed a fornace this week in mine and used a 90* sink pipe to exit it out the side works great. Now just trying to figure out how to duct it.

interesting idea.......question i would have is how did you seal the sink pipe to the existing exhaust and how it is going to handle to heat of the exhaust.......also, how to insulate the pipe when passing throught the outer wall......don't want to burn anything up. my trailer has fiberglass sandwich walls..

how do you avoid carbon monoxide without fresh air to cycle? I mounted mine so it lays horizontal with the access door. I had to cut one of the support beams and box it in for support. pia, but it's done

i put in a 30000 btu attwood and it works great..uses outside air for the combustion ,,4 1/2 " by 5" outside opening..didnt have to cut any beams

I went electric

I had propane heaters before and was always being afraid of blowing myself up or suffocating, so in this trailer I decieded to go all electric with a generator. 2 cadet wall heaters, some 4ft flourescent lights and a 6000w generator. Nice when you get home that you can just plug in and dry everyting off.

We used exhaust flex pipe for exhaust.
