Looking for a scale

Hey, is there anyone in the Yakima area that knows where I could get an accurate scale to weigh my sled. I would like to get a "dry" weight of my mod sled before I throw coolant & fuel in it.

I have tried the bathroom scale method before and if all else fails that is what I will end up doing, but it sure would be nice to set it on one scale or have it hang from one.

Keep in mind that the sled will not be in running condition; ie no fuel or coolant.

Any Ideas??? Thanks

Go to a refuse station. Metal recycler. Feed store. Yakima must have a place where they weight produce boxes. Just a few ideas for ya.

scale

there a public scale downtown by the apple wharehouses by safeway cant think of the street.

You can also use the truck scales on the hiway. When the scale house is closed you can still see the weights. Weigh your trailer empty and then again with the sled loaded.

Thhanks, I will look into it. How accurate are they? Alot of truck scales round off at 50lbs. That ain't gonna cut it. I'd like to find a hanging scale since the sled won't be running.

A buddy at work has a meat hanging scale that goes to 200. Can I use that on the rear bumper (hanging) and use two bathroom scales on the skis and then add all three of them together?

Dawg,

The loader at Central PreMix in Toppenish has a scale on the bucket . . . the guy that runs it is a pretty good guy.

I would think they could pick it up off the truck and set it back down pretty easy with one trip and no unloading.
