I just laugh at all the people asking how the conditions are on a specific area and then 10-20 posts later state that they aren't coming until February or April! Uhh.. conditions will probably be a little different then then they are now. Talk about getting your hopes up early. Anyone else notice this happening a lot and find it funny?

2012 ya say ? well depends on when our time runs out I'm hoping to get a few rides in before doomsday 
But yea i hear ya I do the same thing watch areas closely that i will be visiting later in the season and pray for good snow lol

i hear 2012 is gonna suck, were all gonna die, oh well, its almost here.
Maybe they only get to go riding 1-2 trips a year and are trying to determine if a good base is building up in any one area. If they waited till the week of and some place is reporting "3 new feet of snow" then they show up to find out it was the first snow a place has got for over a month That way plans can be modified to go to where the snow is the best, with a good base.
I know I go to a friends cabin in California to sled every year and watch closely how the snow is, or in this years case, is not piling up. If they don't get some snow soon it won't be worth the trip and I will change plans to spend those 10 days riding somewhere else.
