I'm new around here, I must say that this is some interesting stuff.

No, Really it's not but there's no snow and a bunch of us (including me)are all worked up like a fat, ADD kid on a sugar rush over differences in politics and such.
"Normally" this will be the greatest bunch of people who share a common interest in an outdoor activity you'll ever find.
Most, if not all would drop everything in an instant to help search for you if you were lost in the mountains or needed rescue.

Are you trying to make me ashamed for the fact that my parents helped me out with my university tuition? Why should I be? Are you trying to tell them what they should have done with THEIR money? All my life they have given me opportunities to achieve and succeed, why would I not honor them by accepting their help and making the most of it?

I guess I believe you would honor their contribution to your success as an Engineer by protecting the brain cells and thereby the knowledge you obtained while in college.

Yes, I'm an "old" (ish) guy but I'm really not a douche.
In reality, I'm the nicest azzhole you'll ever meet.

Fact is you're a young guy with no real commitments such as a wife or kids. When I was young and single without those commitments I was a crazy pot head too.

In moderation, I see nothing wrong with it...really.
I just hate to see it destroy so many good peoples lives like I have seen happen to many friends I once had.

Friends of mine that know you tell me you're really a good guy who does a lot for sledding in the area and that I'd like you and most likely get along great with you....Until politics are brought up.
I guess it's time for me to quit talking politics because it brings out the absolute worst, most intolerable traits in people.
Myself included.

I'm not being defensive. I'll be the first to admit that I may let some threads go that maybe I shouldn't. The fact is this isn't my only responsibility so the time to view threads comes and goes. I miss some, I catch some. Frankly though, this is the internet. I take about half, if that, seriously. I really don't think that most of what is said on here can be considered "actionable".

At any rate, I'm pretty sure I'm done replying to this thread. I have a responsibility to patrol the forums when I have the time to do so. I will correct what I need to when I see it. You can either participate or you can leave. I promise I won't lose any sleep over whichever route you choose to take.

Frankly, I have a tough time understanding why there are so many political threads on a snowmobile forum, but that's just me.

PS Yes, I heard about that case and found it very disturbing. But she is not the model example of every single person who smokes pot any more than the police officer that killed his entire family and then himself is the model example of every single police officer.

I never said every person that smokes pot is like that or categorized all pot smokers like that....man....this is almost insane! I used it as an example that people should not drive or be in the care of children. J-Fly admitted to a behavior that can kill....and no that wasn't just smoking pot. ...and no I don't classify every person that smokes pot that way. LMAO I actually support legalizing pot! Can you all believe it! ....but don't get behind the wheel or be in charge of kids when you do it!

I make mistakes all the time and learn from them....everyday of my life. There are people that cannot admit they make mistakes or are wrong....I'm glad to see from this post you aren't one of those.

Yes, this is a snowmobile forum....but why do you have this "fouled plug" section? I enjoy politics....I have a degree in poly sci.

I know you won't lose much sleep over it....I wouldn't lose much sleep if I was banned. ...even though this is a great place to meet conservative minds that ride.

Heres the question I have in response to that. Then why do we have a fouled plug section and why is it the busiest forum on snowest from May to November? Delete the fouled plug section so that snowest doesnt over gigabyte thru the summer. Then no political b u l l s h i t.
