Local gear dealers? Klim, HMK ...???

Hey guy and gals, I'm lookin for a localish dealer for riding gear. I need to get a new pair of gloves and don't have time to order over the internet ( leaving for a week of riding next thursday morning ).

I just found one of my Klim powerxross gloves is missing and they have been in rough shape this season... and leaking from a hole in one hand ( This was not a defect or klim's fault ... a sliped screw driver caused this )

I love the powerxross glove, and would run grab another pair but the Sled Shed in puyallup no longer seems to be open. Shame cause they are a great little mom and pop type shop and great to do bussiness with... bought all my klim gear from them.

So, I need some new gloves. I know HMK has a few choices that are close in design to the Klims that I have been wearing. I also like the looks what motofist has but I need to go pick these up.

I'm looking for a tacoma, puyallup, auburn, federal way, Lacey, olympia area dealer to check out some new gear ... I'm in gig harbor. I90 is list as an HMK dealer but that's a bit further than I want to drive ... unless I have too.

Not sure about klim, but Enumclaw powesports carries motorfist and possibly hmk. Jet Chevrolet in fed way carries true adventure gear...

If WPS (wester power sports) has what you are looking for I can have it in a couple days. I believe they carry HMK, RUoutside, FLY and a few other brands. We don't stock them though, it's nice to try them on first.
After using the True Adventure Gear gloves it's hard to use anything else....might order up a set of the those from TAG, they should have them to you in time.

Are they that impressive, I need a set but haven't made a decision.

I have seen those, Winter can you compair them to the powerxross glove?

I like a glove with little to know insulation in the palm area, and of course waterproof. I'm not stuck on klim ( infact would like to try something else if I can get a glove that performs like I want )

Well, Jet Chev is listed as a dealer for the true north adventure gear and since I have to be in federal way on Sunday I'm going to go see what they have.

I never found anyone with bad reviews of there gloves. There storm X gloves look like a good replacment for what I have now.

I like them better than the Klims or any other glove ive ever had. Light, thin, as waterproof as anything, durable and they dry fast.

We have Klim HMK and Ski Doo gloves in stock we could have sent them out today by us mail and you would have had tomorrow or ups on Monday. We do ship and will accept returns if they didn't fit or whatever? Sorry wish I would have read this earlier. If you cannot work it out let us know UPS on Tuesday will get them to you on Wednesday. Sorry we will be riding on Monday. We are also open tomorrow.

Well that sounds like a glove worth trying... but I PM'd jet and they don't have any instock.

The hard part for me is I can only travel to shop on Sunday and monday ... most dealers are closed.

Thanks guys,

I ended up running to Kent Kawi but the did not have anything that fit.

So ended up in enumclaw and liked the MotorFist W.O.T. price was a bit lower than the klims and I figured I'd give them a try.

Next time I'll give the TAG gloves a try.

Let us know how the Motofist are. My Klims split a thumb seam on the 3rd ride, which is a downer....

That is were most of my gloves fail is between the palm and thumb. That is the reason I decided to try the motorfist, the palm is one piece of leather. No seam to blow out.

I'll let you know what I think after a couple of rides on them.
