Living in Seattle Area

Moved here from Idaho. Your first year will be rough! You'll miss the light fluffy powder and the sun. But then you'll start to realize that you get to ride atleast a month longer than almost any other state. You'll realize that when it's raining in the city that means FEET of snow in the hills. You'll get to ride glaciers. Being close to Canada rocks! :D

My #1 advice is to get a job that is flexible.... because then you get to enjoy the best of all worlds called "hookie days". ie sun, fresh pow, no work, mid week-no crowds. We rarely have sunny powder days on Saturday or Sunday.... fyi.

I live outside of Woodinville, work in Bellevue. This is nice for just taking an afternoon off and hitting the I90 area. And puts us 2 hours (or less) from all the major riding areas. Rarely fight traffic.

But, if you moved to NB life would rarely be boring... :p
