Living in Seattle Area

The weather never sucks here. It's just not sunny all the time. It drives some people crazy. Oct thru mid-Dec is the toughest time to deal with.

If you don't mind driving to go dirt biking, mtn biking, sledding, or whatever I say live where you want in the greater Seattle area. Every activity you listed can be done well within a 2hr drive. If the place you choose to live is close to downtown then cool. Just make sure you have a place to park your trailer and a garage to put your sleds in!

Dont listen to the North Bend rainbow parade...they're just female deprived. They also limit their riding to one or two areas, so if you want variety, look a little north.

From your description, it sounds like Kirkland would be a good choice. Woodinville is also good. Great restaurants and nightlife in Kirkland and Bellevue.

A little over an hr to Snoqualmie. 2 hrs to Gallagher. 2 hrs to Baker. 3 hrs to Bear Paw. 3.5 hrs to Cocquihalla. 4 hrs to Pemberton. 8 hrs to Revy.

Dirtbiking, camping

some mtn biking, road biking & golf

Growing up i did a lot of windsurfing. here is me this past weekend. it's been over 10 years and i was struggling :)

If I were to move to the area I would get a boat

The Columbia Gorge is 3 hours away and is the best windsurfing in the country. Kedro is also right about the North End and good windsurfing up there as well.

You can Mt bike out your door in Issaquah and North Bend and many other towns and great climbing in NB too. The fact is that you can do any sport you want within 2 to 3 hours of Seattle.

does the weather suck all the time or just in the winter?

We just got off a 29 day blue bird...not a drop of rain, but if it does rain in the summer 2hrs east and your in 90-105 weather in summertime.

I will admit, Seattle ROCKS for the out door enthusiast for almost every sport other than or sport teams. The few we have left:rolleyes:.

I am not planning to move away till its all sun for me!!! 2040:D

Off to Naknek I go, (should I bring a gay sign?)
