Live on Rabbit Ears

I'm sure the crowds has alot to do with snowest..Its the first riding area listed under the colorado heading

And with constant reports and updates from people in the area it is drawing larger crowds. Good thing only about 1 Percent ride the good areas!

Yeah, I'm sure that's a lot of it to, Dizz. Fun to talk about our riding areas and snow conditions, but it has it's results. Good thing RE can't compare with the South Park, Colorado area down by Wolf Creek Pass (road map to come) and eventually everyone will "discover" it...hint hint. Looks like your in for a big shot of snow this weekend..hint hint. lol Whatever, I'm always happy to see people enjoying the sport and I think it will be good for the sport in the long run. Sledders spend a lot of money, so more sledders equates to a more money in the local economies...etc. etc. bla bla bla... Still plenty of un-tracked left at RE, but it's becoming more of a major boondockin adventure.

Dave, from your description, I know the hill you were looking at. That bowl is similar to the one we were in and can throw you off. Happened to me last month for a minute. That's a tough ridge to get around unless you find the right spot to sidehill it. It's doable, but freaky. You ended up getting kicked back out on the lower trail I imagine. I don't think we have to worry about too much traffic back in there. lol
Yeah, saw you but didn't recognize you until Jerry pulled up, then you were off.

It was 1 to 1.5 feet of fresh in the trees on Northern slopes but the wind stole it all. If we don't get a decent dump by Friday, Saturday is going to suck azz! Warm and sunny (not a cloud in the sky) all day. More of the same tomorrow.:mad:

Shot a little HD vid of the crew last sunday. Should have pulled out the cam in 54, but forgot all about it. Best quality if you hit the HD button and looks OK in full-screen too. Hit the pause button to let it load if your connection is not real fast.

Paul, yea, we tried for about an hour to find a way over, but gave up after awhile, and yes, we ended up following our tracks back out. We saw one track that dropped down the ridge, but it looked like a death ride, through trees, to the bottom...thought better of it.

No snowy weather to be seen in the forecast. Guess it is time to start working on the dirtbike and ATVs this weekend.

At least the last reverse DD was warrantied! Could be all those downhill reverse drops! lol

Yep. the reverse gear doesn't take kindly to being slammed in when going down hill, like for braking/parking. Dave, had a pound of shavings in his after chipping a tooth and grinding it around for awhile. It's a weak design, but some guys never break it. My 05, no reverse DD still works fine.

So the Cats don't just reverse the direction of rotation of the motor, such as the Poos and Doos?

the 09's do. the 07/08 was a gearcase.

as far as DD's go, we had 2 05's with 1k and 1500mi. with no probs, I put 2k on my 07 m1k with no probs, and now have 1100 miles on my turbo with no probs. (knocking on wood) :D

Good luck on that!

So how's the snow looking for this Saturday?

I drive to Idaho at 3:00am this morning to get the sleds, and will be back to Utah tomorrow evening.

I was planning on coming to RE sat. morning and potentially bringing one of my friends from Vernal with me on his M1000.

Anybody gonna be up there Saturday?

Is the rumor true........ :confused::confused:

Is the mayor going to venture south of the overlook???:eek:

You feeling ok Mayor? lol

There will be peeps up there but the snow is gonna be chitty. From what I hear, the Wolf Creek area is getting pounded right now. Tudizzle and a few others are gonna be there.

I think Wolf Creek is gonna be way too far for me to make it ..

That's clear down by Colorado Springs isn't it?
