Live Alaska..

Really good was really hoping you guys were going to get dumped on while I was gone not rained on. On down part was being forced to ride a M sled while I was down there.

a newer m wouldnt be a bad ride from what I have seen.....your turn to get the snow coming....

I think they are really really nice sleds The rider position just is not for me. But the Nytro is not quite there yet either. Just ALOT closer.

well one of these days you will have to take mine for a spin and see how it fits....

Ended up busy today and didn't get to the sled except to do a compression check and pull the PTO RAVE. Compression 20psi PTO, 130psi Recoil. RAVE is ok no lost pieces. Piston surface looks a bit ruff:rolleyes:

define "ruff" , guess it really doesnt matter what kinda ruff cause its always bad =/

well get busy fixing or get busy getting a back up sled

giddy up

couple small pieces missin from the edge by the exhaust port. top looks relatively good for 2,000 miles, looks like she was runnin rich. But really can't tell with out pulling the jugs, and all the input i'm getting is to yank the motor, crack the cases and inspect the crank and bearings. And at the very least repack the outer bearings with grease.

Mike, I've read pages and pages of talk about the 07 800R. My conclusion is you are just about ****ed no matter what you do. My bet is you will find at least one of your cylinders is beyond honing, in which case you will have to do a 400 dollar core exchange and pistons.

If you do crack the cases and re-isoflex the outer bearings the inner ones are still subject to failure (my experience) because the majority of the 07 cases where machined too tight.

I've read that Big John has a guy that will take your cases and machine them to the proper 08 specs. In any case I would replace the inner bearings too while you're at it.

What I didnt know at the time I re-did my top end was that if a crank bearing goes it can also take the top end with it (my experience).

A short-block at CC is 1350 after you send them yours.

Let me know if you need a hand. I like to wrench.
