Little help please

Was wondering if i could get a little help with some clutching setup. Its a 06 900 166" slp can and air box 19/42 gearing. I ride mostly at 3-6k ft 290lb rider, i bought a new pro this year but keep the 900 too (could not part with it to much love). its time to go through both clutches , bought the sled used three years ago so have no history with clutch. what would be a good setup on clutches(springs, weights and so on )with out going crazy, kinda on a budget with just buying the new sled. all the help would great thanks brian .

If your happy with the way it ran for the last three years, replace the spring and weights with the same that are in it now

i have the same sled and setup...and slightly more mods ;)

per SLP recommendations this is what they say to use.

--SLP Blue/Pink Primary Spring
--SLP 74g MTW weights with 2g in middle and 2g in outter hole on each weight
--I would also use the SLP Black/White Secondary Spring
--I also would use the 58/46.46 or close to it if you find one
--using 1 derlin washer behind the secondary spring cup

--check your bushings in the weights if you use your current ones
--check the rollers in the secondary while your at it.

--make sure you get your PRIMARY clutch balanced ASAP as well, this is extremely IMP!!!

--also use a new primary bolt as well, torque to 70lb lbs (and repeat 4x to ensure its seated)

good luck bud.

Just a reminder what I have found in the flatland set-ups no 2 sleds react the same with the same components. For instance there was a couple other '06 9's tried the same weights/springs/helix and the 1 was @ target rpm and the other 2 one was under 200 rpm and other over 150 rpm.
Maybe give what you have for springs/weights and helix and what rpm's you are at peak (not by rpm recall, but by visual when riding as recall usually reads a bit higher) and can go from there. '06 target rpm is around 7600.

EDIT- I may be wrong but the difference could've also been from different mileage in the clutches/springs as one was a bit worn and others newer.

Disassemble and ck your present set up against ones posted in stickies above or posts like guido's above! Remember 900 primary is different than 800's and BALANCE it!
