Im 17, and by no means am I a master Machanic. I'm looking to utilize the power out of my 2007 REV 800R. I guess I want more low end power, and probably more top end power as well. Can i get both out of my sled by adjusting the limiter straps? If so should i tighten them or lossen them? Not sure if it matters but the sled is bone stock other then an HPS can. Im also 6'1" and weigh 165 if that matters.

the straps wont do anything for hp gains. loosen them u will get less ski pressure and tighten them to gain ski pressure. dont over do it either way though to loose and it will drive the front of the track down in deep snow and make it need more speed to plain up on top and to tight will cause it to not transfer weight well. hope this helps

I know I wouldnt get HP gains.....thats why i said better utilize my 800R's power. Just thought by moving them around i might be happier with my sled rather then the factory set up. Thanks for the input doo, that helps me alot.

I have the same question for my 2010 backcountry 137 do I move it a couple of holes, leave it, or just take them off which would benefit me more i mean it cant do a wheelie which i would like to do but what r the other benefits as well

Only gonna have my sled one more year before i buy a new one, and im going all out on that sled. Or else i would fork over the cash for the clutch kit from Winterbrew.

It's certainly easy enough to change back and forth but wheelies are a kid thing and can cause loss of control = big bucks in sled parts or medical bills so be warned. You can usually lift the skis enough by just adjusting the rear springs softer if your skid is balanced well with the limiters at the right length. Most come setup from the dealer fairly well for your riding area and conditions but, like I said, it's easy enough to experiment but try messing with your rear spring settings first. NO performace gains by having the nose in the air tho as you'll have LESS track on the ground providing you power.

Have FUN!
