limiter strap

i own a 07 xrs 151 what is it better to have more weight transfer to the rear of the sled or front set by adjusting limiter strap lengthening or shortening for powder hill climbing or is just personal preference what do you have yours set at to lift skis off the ground more or to have more weight to front end

depends how you like the sled to handle. i dont do a whole lot of retarted steep climbs, so i run it a little looser with the front skid spring nice and tight to keep the front end nice and light so it pulls over real easy... but not so loose that when you pin it the skis point to the sky. i like to have like 4 inches or so of ski lift when your hammerin on it personally... best thing to do is play around till you find something that works for you. just remember that front spring tension will play a role too...

the looser the straps are run the more transfer. if you just want the skis to be in the air let the straps out. as vanislerev said if you do steep climbs you will want to tighten it up to keep the skis down.

I always run my straps as tight as i can get them, usually taking a rachet strap and compressing the suspension as much as possable. I hate going up a real steep hill and hit a little bump and loose all the momentum i had built up.

Tightening the limiter will help but one of the main reasons the XRS wheelies so bad is the track. I changed to a powder max 154 and it made a world of difference. Costs quite a bit to do though. I can say I thought the wheeling was quite fun unless I was on a steep climb!
