Lightweight Riding Gloves?

Holy crap. Am I the only one who wears a full leather work glove. Buy a $20 pair of full leather insulated work gloves. They fit tight so you can "feel" what your doing and your handlebars. Throw them in the microwave for 1 minute then rub in some sno seal for a couple hours and let cure overnight. They will last you for years. They are 100% waterproof (if you properly sno seal them) and 100% windproof. I rarely turn on my hand warmers because I never get cold in them. I always carry an extra pair of gloves just in case they get wet and have only lent them out to others once their gloves are wet and cold.

Anything that i've tried that is waterproof, or has much in the way of insulation always feels like there are 2 layers, and they slide against each other. Always results in poor feel of the controls and feeling like i could slip off the bars too easily.

I've just used insulated deer skin gloves. They stay pretty warm even when wet. If it's not too cold you can wring 'em out and keep riding. If it is cold, just put on a fresh pair every so often.

I'm curious about some of the newer waterproof gloves, but i'm skeptical about having anything truly waterproof that is not too bulky or slippery. Can't bring myself to drop $50+ to try what i think i probably won't like.

Troy, just sno seal those deer skin gloves and they won't get wet. Spend a couple of hours working the sno seal into the gloves.
