Lightweight Riding Gloves?

I got the TNA Storm's last year--very impressed. Thin and flexible enough to give good feel for the bars and pretty warm. I don't have hand guards so my hands are directly in the wind. The Storm gloves keep my hands warm (with the heaters) down to about -10. After that I switch to a pair of OR windstopper fleece gloves.

If you need to wear gloves outwest then your either a puzzy or spend to much time watching real snowmobilers ride instead of trying to ride yourself. How can your hands get cold if your riding it like a rental?

There is only one reason. I mean only ONE reason to wear gloves, and thats to hold an ice cold barley sandwich at lunch time.:beer;:beer;:D

I have both klim inversion and powerxcross. Inversion most of the day wild riding. Wet or dry they stay warm. They do take a beating but with a lifetime warranty who cares just get them replaced. Never had a problem getting a replacement pair.

Keep a pair of powerxcross for holding cold ones and the ride home.

gloves

hey I just orded up a pair from culater. got the powercross ones. they will be fine. culater has got good prices and is a great guy to deal with. good luck

Yeah!! i have a pair of those GORGONZ glove's too. you breath onto a valve and it heats your whole hand!!! intense pair of glove's For $30.00.. I bought mine at Marks Work warehouse in canada!:D

hmk

I have hmk, they work well. When it gets cold put on a pair of tna to ride back on trail. Love the hmk but when its cold the tna work great warmth they are bulky for off trail riding. (imo):beer;

So your telling us you ride with no glove's!?!?! I can feel the Fost bite comin?

i have about 1100 miles on my klim powercross gloves and they show no wear at all. i love hearing this crap about "just have four sets of machanix gloves and switch them out when they get wet". well i have ONE pair of klim powercross and that is all i use. dead of the winter, spring time, etc. most of the time i do not even have my handwarmers on because my hands would get too hot. even after digging out multiple times in deep powder, my hands are dry and wet. hmm... for the price of two or three pairs of machanix gloves at autozone, you could have one pair of gloves that you can ride with all day and are no more bulky or awkard at all.

usually just run the ones from Marks Work House .5 finger gaunlets ..when its cold ..then Mechanix...gloves the rest of the season ...

I bring several pair.

Fox polar paws 2 pair. Klim powercross 1 pair. Also a big fat warm pair to ride home in. Never leave home without the fatties, most of the time I never use them, but you never know!-00's

ya i use mechanics gloves too ,light dry quick and cheap enough to have a few pairs ,but i found a semi water proof ice fishing glove at wal mart that has a rubber palms and fingers .......they stick to the bars like glue!!!!!!!!1

Lightweight Gloves

If you are interested, rather than buying new lightweight gloves, you could send your old ones to me and I will port them for you. (for a small fee of course):D

I know you're joking but....some of the guys I ride with are partial to long remote-back country trips and I wouldn't call any of them puzzies. On one trip last year we rode 135 mostly trail-less miles to a favorite lodge. We took a different route on the ride home--following river bottoms. Avg temp -20 ambient.

That's a whole 'nother animal from riding gloveless in your local play area 20 minutes from the truck.

Just sayin'

RU Outside has a nice pair of thin gloves, pretty warm as far as non-bulky gloves go. Tried on a bunch at the snow show and most of the thin gloves (Klim and TNA), it felt like the lining was separate from the shell. These feel like you're wearing Mechanix gloves, but warmer. Only $30 IIRC.

I haven't seen them for awhile, but when I sold building materials, we sold a contractor line of gloves called ironclad. They have a cold condition type of construction glove, and they are the best I've ever found. Feel just like motocross gloves, but thicker and much much warmer. I still have to use the hand warmers, but that's what they're for. They aren't very waterproof, but in the deep it is dry enough that doesn't matter. If I remember right they cost about $25 and I've used the same pair for about 3 years now with lots of miles and they're still in good shape. Another brand (construction glove) almost the same called black rhino that also has a cold condition glove, are just as good also.
