light weight crankshaft in Axys Pro Rmk?

Well Tdbaugha, being your in the know with buddies of polaris engineers. Can you verify if new 800HO pork chop crank is mape or fugi?
Because really I can care less of the cfi 2 motor.

I would love to know why they would use 2 different cranks? Were they cheaper or on sale at different points of engine assembly?

Why are you getting so worked up over this? He was trying to give you good information and you get defensive and preach hear-say as gospel.

The cranks are not different. The suppliers are different. Likely one supplier couldn't meet demand, so they use two. Not that uncommon in manufacturing when you source parts.

So far, all of the the lightweight cranks are Fuji (with a J).

I hope they get more oil to the connecting rod bearings with the electric pump than the 14 as mine and a buddies lost bearings. Mine had the oiler turned up 2 turns too.

I'm sure you can not tell if I'm defensive or mad through one message kiddo. And no the 2 cranks are not the same.. same spec yes but same build quality, no.

Not here to argue I'm just really hoping a reliable source can verify if new 800HO will have a Fugi crank?

It has been verified by a very trusted source, it is a Fugi. I might be able to get pictures tomorrow. Carls was correct

Very good news! Ya be interested to see what the part # is on it. I looked the # up for the race crank and curious if it's the same -#. Thanks for looking into that! Really the only concern I had about the Axys Rmk, looking forward to snow check options next week!

Crankshaft Part #

I do not know if they will have the same part number, but being that it is the same motor they should be the same as the 15 Rush in the Axys chassis. That part number is 2205648. Once we get a parts fiche for the 2016's, I could possibly tell you more!

Ya that will be biggest mistake is giving too much input, I came from a 06 800 summit rev to the pro and I hated it at first but then I realized how much less effort I needed and the rest is history! The reason there is so much negativity towards Pro rmk motors is its the only garbage people can dig up to hate on them, but when it's the best mountain sled in all conditions your going to catch alot of grief! Heck not even LeBron James can get away from haters, there is always somebody trying to piss in the cheerios bowl of the best.

X2, try coming over from a 2000 MTN Max, I had to put all buck sixty-five into larger marj to get it to rock over in the trees. I have caught myself a lot these last two seasons hanging way to far out.

Sure would like to get more input on this new crank, how would it hold up with an 858 or is that just a waste of $$ mating the new crank with this kit?

I found that the 2015 IQR 600 race crank has the same part number as the 2015 Rush 800HO. For some reason the 2014 IQR race crank is a different part number, is still available (not superseded) and is roughly $200 cheaper than the 2015 PN.

Yes that is same part # as the factory race sled crank.. which I do know polaris race teams exclusively use Fugi cranks so that supports what everyone else is saying.

just to confirm, I can use the lightweight crank in my 2012 800? i'm gonna possibly do a rebuild this summer and would sure like to use the new crank

Yes you can use the new crank in your 2012. I would also recommend when you do your engine rebuild, finding cylinders from a 2013-15, if possible as they have thicker walls and better skirts than the 11-12. Also, use the pistons, out of the 14 and 15 motor. Much better motor that way, and then you get rid of some of the issues that the 11 and 12 motors had with piston slap and the breaking of skirts.

You will need to machine the upper case half if you plan on doing this.

Good catch. I forgot to mention that when I posted that. BTW, we can do all of that machining at Carl's and we have all the other parts in stock that I could send out to you if you were interested. I think we even have a set of replated cylinders that are about half the cost of a new set of monoblock cylinders here at the store. When I get to work tomorrow, I will check if you want me to.

ya I was just gonna say that the new cylinders dont fit then read the rest of thread. Carls can you pm me on the machining cost for the case. I run wossner pistons so no engine issues with my 12 pro :face-icon-small-ton even tore it down twice after beating the living piss out of it for 2500miles to make sure! lol

preping crank for long life

so for all conserned about bearing faliure on cranks u remove the berarings from ur crank send them to micro blue racing as posted they have a web site look it up it will be the best investment u ever make allso send ur pistons and rings and they will spray them or bake them in the oven how ever done and is not removable other than maching it off so u elinate friction which causes heat and faliure with the pisons and rings done u are elimnaing blow buy onthe ings which 2 strokes have lots of so ur increasing compretion how much cant tell u till mine are done an i get to retake the comprestion chk my motor is curently al part so now gettng bryings removed and sent off Al
