Leveling kits

I just did the leveling kit on my '07 Dmax. Love it! They call it a 2.5" but I only went up 1 3/4" in front and 1.5" block in the rear. The kit installed, with alignment was $600. Rides better that stock in my opinion. Not as bouncy in the front end. An i have room for 285's if i want. Looks good currently with 265's though.

Well, heres my truck with the t-bars turned up enough to level her out. Got an alignment and new goodyear tires. I may still get small blocks for the rear and some wheels in the future. But it looks pretty good as is.

Got an '08 GMC 2500HD diesel and didn't like the low front end. going thru water bars off road, the front end was hitting all time! this never happened with my old dakota. So researched it and for how much i wanted to spend went with the Truxx leveling kit. 3" up front and 1" in the rear using keys and a block respectively. put 33" tires on at the same time. so in essence i have a 5" lift up front. Love it! handles really well (although that could be the nice tires :) ) I run with a sled deck all winter and no issues. As mentioned in an earlier post, dieselplace.com is a great place for info on gmc/chevys

Cognito is the only way to level a duramax the rite way. while your at it i would recommend idler and pitman support brackets, they prevent the idler and pitman from wearing and having play in the steering. pm me i can give you prices! there is some good info on their web site www.cognitomotorsports.com

i have the stage 4 leveling package waiting to go on my 07 dmax.
just need to find time!!

Here's my old 05 with the torsion bars cranked 3/4 of an inch and 1 inch blocks in the rear with 33" Cooper STT's. You should NOT have any tire wear issues if you get a proper alignment. I also put on a new set of bilstein shocks that were 1 inch longer in the front, it helped with the ride.

I have a SuperLift levelling kit in my 2008 Dmax 2500HD 4X4 CC SB. I have it set as low as it can go and ride quality still suffers.

You probably wouldn't notice it on smooth roads but driving the twisty rough Whistler highway you definitely notice it.

InCognito seems the only way to go for these torsion front ends.

I was reading through the page that bugito's link took me to and I noticed it said if you off-road or go faster than 25mph in 4WD, this leveling kit isn't for you. I'm not a heavy off roader, but I do go down some nasty roads every now and then when I'm camping or hunting. Anybody have any experience with this leveling kit and driving off road or in 4WD while pulling an enclosed trailer down the interstate or up and over an icy pass?

I read that and take it as they are talking about a 4" lift.

I've got the Cognito level kit on my 09 3500HD, and have no problems driving 75mph down the highway in 4WD.

I know Thistledoo put a 4" on his 06 2500HD when he had it, and could barely keep in on the road in 4WD.

If you guys are running bigger tires w/ your Cognito kits, make sure you relocate the wheel speed sensor harness. Luckily we noticed mine on install and fabbed up a little bracket to relocate. I know a few guys have ripped the harness right off. I'll try to post a pic when I get a chance.
