I might be the only one here, but did anyone think that format was lame? Levi's double backflip was insane and all but everyone else was doing tricks that have already been done before. Wasn't this supposed to be a new trick competition? I thought this was completely set up for Levi to win. ESPN has been advertising the double backflip all week. They rushed the other 3 riders through their jumps and then took plenty of time to let Levi set up. The whole competition looked staged to me. How is this any different than the freestyle event that is on tonight? Why couldn't they introduce these jumps in the freestyle segment and get bonus points for original tricks?
Not hating on the riders, the format just seems silly to me.

Exactly my thought. Levi's trick was absolutly great but that format sucks! 3 Dq's and a pretty weak wind lip flip to win it. Not the riders fault it's the event. WINTER X PLEASE BRING BACK THE HILL CROSS!!!!!!

And snipers with paint ball guns for anyone who would boo a rider attempting these tricks.
The show was going WAYYY late out of it's allotted time slot so they were hurrying the first riders to get the backflip into their coverage in the time allowed from the network.
Pretty tacky in my book.
My dam DVR (Dish Network) shut down the recording just as Levi was running up the ramp so I didn't get to see it until this morning on YouTube.
It just stopped as I was watching it.

I think they should have three traditional events:
- SnoCross
- HillCross
- Freestyle Ramp
It's definitely cool that they're so into the snowmobiling though - a few years back they were looking at eliminating the motor sports altogether. I think we get lots of positive press from this event even if they keep up the odd-ball comps.

The only reason he didnt stick it is because he went TO BIG. He was about 10ft higher and went 10ft farther than he wanted to. That was the sickest thing ive seen I give it to him. Im not big into the whole freestyle scene I respect them and what they do but that was the best yet. 
X2 I was thinking the exact same thing this morning. I missed it last night because my DVR ran out of time because of the stupid basketball game running over
Glad Levi wasn't hurt. Now maybe we will be able to see him race the new RUSH.

One other event that I had witnessed on Thursday that may be cool to add, is the snowmobile log rolling competition. Instead trying to stay on a log in a pond, try and stay on your sled while its rolling down the hill.

New Helmets = GAY! Make NMFH's look cool
The first "attempts" were DQ's = lame
The trick the backwoods dude won with = lame
DVR stopped while I was watching live. Channel changed, I freaked out, couldn't get back to ESPN so missed the jump = pissed off!
I was nervous for Levi. Affraid he was going to case it and get hurt. He still needs to race Sat. Levi's trick was awesome. Too bad he didn't land it. He WILL do it soon and it will be the new standard to beat = cool
All in all = FRUSTRATING EVENT TO WATCH but it was snowmobiles so i was glued to the tube.
It should have been just an exhibition. Not an event. HillCross is awesome. Esp if they don't break their driveshafts on the landings!

It might be kind of like Monty Python's "Being Eaten by a Crocodile" contest - where today's contestant is tomorrow's crocodile shidt.
Every time they showed Gretchen Bleiler, she looked like she was counting pink bunnies jumping over a fence with birds in the background. She got her bell rung - HARD.
The helmet visors were indeed pretty sad.
