Been using my 96 Dodge 12 valve Cummins for several years now...towing our 28 foot Mirage....just bought an 07.5 (new body style) Chevy LBZ Duramax crew cab....will get pics posted, have not taken any yet of the new truck...:D:D:beer;:beer;

sorry dont know how to load more than 1 pic per post. kind of new to internet. luckily my wife showed me how to do pictures
the same way you attach the first pic, just click upload after selecting each picture.
browse, select upload, then repeat for second pic.

Kinda funny about the Dodge Cummins. I was watching Trucks tv program this morning(sat.) and they are doing a project. It is a 97 dodge ram with a 79 ford crew cab short box placed on the chassis. They talked about how they could get a 24v cummins at the auto recyclers but preferred the 12v and went with the 97 chassis with the 12v cummins from the auto recycler for performance. While I watched it, it reminded me of this thread and the comments made towards the difference in the cummins motors. I think it will be an interesting build and wanted to mention it. Powerblock TV on Spike TV sat. mornings. Cheers.

ive heard of this project on dtr website, put the body on the dodge will be difficult,ive looked into this,the motor sits 5-6 " farther forward in the dodge so there will be no room for intercooler wiyh ford body on it, other problems as well. i guess if they have lots of budget money they,ll work it out. the 12v has several advantages, aside from simplicity the torque curve is broader. i dont have cable or dish so i cant watch the program,keep us posted.thanks

i seen the trucks episode also this morning. all they did today was pretty much pull the body off of each truck. they are droppin the crewcab short box ford onto an ext. cab long bed dodge 2wd chassis. they said the chassis wheelbases are within an inch of each other so that should help in the body swap, then they said they were gonna salvage the interior and maybe the dash out of the dodge and try and make it work in the ford cab. that was pretty much the whole episode today other than wandering around the salvage yard.

no need to switch dashes, on the mechanical 12v i hooked all gauges to my old ford dash . be interesting too see. i thik they will have problems with radiator/intercooler.

ya, i'm sure they will have some issues but with there budget i doubt there will be any real big hangups. they said maybe on the dash thing to just kinda update things in the ford cab. when all said and done this rig is supposed to replace the ford v10 they use for all the powerblock car shows as a tow rig when they go find projects and such. i think i'm gonna try and keep up on the show to see how it goes.

Got rid of the orange one and bought this one... Was crazy nice, Not quite the factory settings.. had to sell it once work turned down and couldn't afford the 7 mpg.. Just moving my dads boat, didn't ever have a chance to tow the sleds..

Sweet looking truck you had there. What motor was in it?
(7 mpg / bummer for such a nice truck!)

Heres where I'm at today.. Nothing like I once had but alot more practical..

I feel for you. I went from a sweet 2004 F-250 on 37's, lockers, ect. to a 2008 chevy 1/2 ton :( I miss the lifted 3/4 ton but it got 10.5 mpg and the new one gets 20 mpg. Sometimes I still wish I had my old truck.

I sold this: 2000 F250, 7.3L

To get this: 2007 Megacab 2500, 6.7L

I think someone drugged me......
