Let's see your custom garages & shops

oont, how long have you been collecting cans? Love those Schmidt cans...let me know if you ever want to get rid of 'em!

Rubberdown, did you paint that floor? You too Jess?

i bought some dudes collection off ebay..

i used concrete stain on the floor, then went over it with a clear epoxy coat when i put clear coat on, i sprinkled some of those paint flakes on it.. looks pretty good...

Does this little shed count?

50'x140' overall, with 50x60 insulated, lots of room to work on diff things at once. Maybe overkill for ya but if your building from scratch, build big for future toys and things. Back is all cold storage, perfect to keep things out of snow drifts and accessable year round.
Upstairs provides lots of storage for parts, and my powder coating room. Have seperate office, bathroom, and tool room down the one side. Benches- one wood top and one metal top for welding and grinding on. Run air lines all over the place for easy access, sloped floor for drain pit (nice in winter to not have puddles of ice), wood working stuff on opposite side of main wrenchin area to minimize dust.
Only drawback-- more room for more "stuff".

I still say the next Boise party should be at your place. ;)

your only pic was bambi's hangin upside down:D:beer;:beer;:D

it was a good hunt. lol
The crane\hoist have been very useful.
in the top left you will see one of my tents hanging to dry. The clothesline works pretty good for that. the loft just gives me alot more storage room. the center drain allows me to pull into the shop with the sleds loaded on the deck, get a fire going and have everything dried out for the next day.
I wish i would have painted the walls white before i moved in.

i dont care who you are.. that right there is something!!! saweet shop man!!:beer;

Good sense of humor OO.

One other thing to include in this thread is heating options, as in what you use to heat your "Man Cave's".
I use a waste oil furnace as my main source. Buddies are always bringing me their used motor oil, and I have local farmers and heavy machine contractors supply me with roughly 700 gallons per year. As a backup, I have propane forced air heater too. The oil is free, the only cost is power, which I pay no matter what kind of heat is used. Will get ya info and pics of oil heater if needed.

I bet that saves a ton of money. Natural gas isn't cheap- or LP.....

Anyone with in-floor heating? Worth the coin$$$$?

oh ya wounldn't go any other way heats our our 100x70 shop where you'll sweat for little to nothing also have it in the 5 stall garage

and around here they gave us the heater/pump for free sense it's better for the environment

Ya, the savings are awesome vs the lp.
Btw, I bought this property with the shop from my father who retired from farming, hence the big shop. But no complaints from me!!:D He put in the oil furnace as a way to get rid of the oil, vs paying the dump site to take it. It's a no brainer at the end of the day, pay for oil, use it, heat your shop, and no charge for disposal. Good way to help the environment too. 100% use of what you paid for. http://www.cleanburn.com/ kind of spendy at first but will pay off in the long run.
