Work in progress

Just started building this. I will post specs later, just wanted to get a picture posted, and see what you guys think. I will post more as the build progresses

Yes it is. It is a 12 volt fan that runs off the lighting coil. It is relatively useless when running hoodless, but with the hood on it seems to move a little of that stagnant hot air away from the clutch area. It's not a cure all by any means but alot of infrared testing consistently showed a sheave and belt temperature drop of 10 to 15 degrees. I have a screen mounted directly above the fan with the hood on in an effort to suck a little cool air from a high to a low.

Heres a new to me 04 800 159.

SLP Pipe, intake, EGT's and a couple of other goddies.

The picture posted by SpokaneRMK, got me thinking. I wondered how things would look if I took off those dorky plastic coolant hose covers that are a makeshift rack. Get rid of all that crap and add a nice tunnal rack.

Man I dont know how you guys with tripples pack all those pipes under the hood. Bet they sound nice at 9K RPM though

good thread keep it going

Heres my old EDGE RMK. 03 chassis

Had a 00 XCR 800 triple big bore by HTG to 900cc.

Miss that motor. Way more low end torque, snappiness and throttle response then any other sled I've ever ridden.

Its actually IronDaves now.

Also had Crankshop pipes, a Holz coil over, Fabcraft bars, Alternative Impact trailing arms, Powder Pros, Outlaw hood, 156 Camo, and Boss Seat.

Was a great sled. Wish I still had it sometimes.

XC800-1.jpg

SLP 121 - 136 rail extensions, M-10 suspension, SLP single pipe and can, Team 2 primary and secondary, boost bottle, wide skiis (can't remember brand)

Going to eliminate headlight and run walmart fog lights off handlebars, remove all stickers and black everything out, little stuff like that.

Yeah no joke. That sled looks awesome. It looks like you've made it pretty rider forward. How did you do that?
