Here are a few of my shop. 60'x100' with 20' side walls. 28'x18' and a 14'x16' overhead doors, [/IMG]
dude. how do you like your lights I'm lookin at the type you have are tube fluorescent.
If you have any sensitive electronics in the building, be careful of the metal halide producing feedback. Just FYI.
This is where I hide. 40x42 and the rest is cold storage.
I love looking at other peoples shops so keep them coming!
So far I am pretty happy with the lights. They are not however a fluorescent light. They are metal halide, and there are 12 of them. They take about 1-2 minutes to turn on as they are a slow start-up light. We only use them when we will be spending extended time in the shop. For those quick trips in to grab a wrench or something we have some regular fluorescent lights mounted, i believe 6 of them. There is a huge difference in the amount of light given off between the fluorescent and the metal halide.
I would recommend using a 6-lamp T-8 fluorescent high-bay fixture for your shops that are 16' and higher ceilings as long as they are heated. They will use half the power as a 400 watt matal halide and put out the same light output.
Very nice! How do you get your sleds upto second level? ramp or forklift? Sure is a nice way to keep them safe and out of the way!
My shop -really it's my house right now too but don't judge me cause of it!!
one of my favorite things about the shop... I now no longer have to deal with ramps when I get back from a day of riding. Sides are truck bed height for loading/unloading the dirtbikes and middles is sled deck height! (plus it's done in the likeness of the mtn views where I learned to ride!)
