The first nite there was fine. They were under-staffed at the bar but they managed to do the best they could while maintaining a smile. Next morning I was told by the owner that we should be more prompt at arrival to the bar. WTF? I had initially told them 28 of us would be there between 630 and 7. We got there at 730. Chit we were on vacation and if I wanted to sit in the chair and unwind a bit before heading for supper that is exactly what I was going to do. Blame us for being understaffed? Things cleared up the next morning when the same person serving us supper was waiting on us for breakfast. Everything went downhill from there. Many things to be left alone, but all I can say is if you are to stay there be cautious and aware of everything that goes on. It may bite you in the end. $1500-$1700 worth.
Actually went to Zala's in town one night, even though we had prepaid all of our meals, and enjoyed fantastic food, good service, and many laughs.
Revy snow continues to impress. GH is a pristine location and if an effort was ever made to satisfy there customers would also be the ultimate destination for the perfect riding area...
but they DIDN'T bring in extra staff!!!!!!! that's the point!!!!!!!!!! and we didn't really have reservations for food! it was in the PUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Not defending GH as I have had spotty service there as well, but as far as the reservations go, promptness is important. 28 people is a big group so it takes work to be ready for it. I would be annoyed if I brought in extra staff to be ready for a big group and they were late like that....especially if they had blocked off tables for your arrival.....
The lcoation is decent right on hwy 1 west of revelstoke a bit. The new owner's are a Awesome younger couple that are itnerested in you being happy and returning(to spend more moneyy). The food is good(finally got a chef in there so the restruant/pub is open). Vaughn (sp) is a great chef good breakfast and dinner's. I believe this is a year, for them to figure out what works and what doesn't but having been to revelstoke twice this year and headed back once more, I would say these guys do it very well. If you are nice Vaughn may take you for the special ride from about 11am to 2:30pm. Thanks to Peaks for two great trips so far this year hope to see you in April if the snow holds. P.S. the Glacier house is rumored to be for sale?? so I am sure this along with Alex's unfortunately poor attitude I am no longer a fan of the GH. The staff is ok and the lcoation is the best but I would much prefer the Peaks Lodge to GH anyday of the week.

And for 4,995,000 it could be yours. Who wants to kick in $20 bucks. Maybe we can do a group buy.

I tried running you over in the parking lot the night you got there I think..... I'll blame it on "tired".......We stayed there for 4 nights during BIS.
First night... cold hot tub...
Internet suckd all the time. bad wireless router I am gathering.
Restaurant was closed at 9. pub had no food either. WTF??
breakfast was WAAAAAAAAYYYY too expensive. We went to the gas station at big eddy, and had the best brekkie ever! highly recommended.
icy walkways,
Drying room was never opened.. furnace down..
they never let the Zala limo on the premises.. we had to walk to the gates to meet up with the limo.
(Zalas are AWESOME!! free limo ride, and the driver got a healthy tip)
Plus the soap they supply the rooms looks like someone washed their arse with it and had corn the night before..LOL
Nice rooms though, but too expensive.
