Let's hear from the 600 RMK guy's & gals!

i came off a 01 600 edge 144 it was fun to ride thats why got my 07 600 155 its going to take some getting use to but i love it...............it never fails when we find some place to play in the pow the guys that have the big sleds want to go play on mine......i call it my fat chick..............everyone wants to ride one but no one wants to be seen on it...............

Love It

I bought one for my wife so that she would get into riding, it worked like a charm and now she loves to go riding! only problem is I wish she would stay home sometimes so I could take her sled out to play! It is so much fun I wish I would have gotten 2!
:D

I ride more than 100 days a year so I wanted a sled that was low maintainence and cheap to run.....This little 600 is fun but I have to take my 800 out more often because it's way cheaper on fuel

Dont get me wrong about the wifes sled comment. The 600 hun always starts and runs great, it like Rodney Dangerfield though. No respect. Just a thought, does it run harder than a 700 with a 660 kit on it, if not why not buy a 700 to begin with.

I wish I had a $ 1.00 no $10.00 bill for every time someone wanted to check to see my "big bore". My little 6 has embarrassed some very well running sleds, most have been several CCs bigger. The ting the 600 HO has got is balance + power to weight ratio. Im 5'9" 165 lbs. That helps. My power is HUGE on the bottom and mid, the bigger sleds always pull me on the top. But Im a 80% boondocker 20% hillclimber so this set up works great!

Great reviews.... Now I want one.....Does anyone have anything bad to say about it?
I rode the new 07 600 155 proto with pipe and I was truly impressed.

The thing I like best is that I dont have to spend money "modding" The sled flat out works with what it has! Ive spent thousands on aftermarket parts and even building a complete mod in the past and this thing flat out outperformes everything Ive ever done.

Kinda like when the Edge came out and how much better it was than the GenII. This is twice as good!

A few changes like lightweight can, taller bars, and some gear changes and im in!

Is anybody having problems with theres???

Rob.

Not enough power.

A relative just got a 2006 RMK 600 with 144(?) track. In original stock condition. Bought it used with only 150 miles on it. Was hard starting with 3 pulls normally. Will put more miles on it and hope the starting issue resolves itself. I ride a 2004 Arctic Cat 1M 900 EFI 159" sled and she let me ride it. She's 5'6" maybe 115#. "I'm 6'3" and 215#. Turns really well. The first time I tried it I fell off, trying to get my feet planted on one side as I made a side hill turn. Turns a lot better than my Cat but for deep snow and hill climbing the power isn't their. A friend with an older RMK 800 rode it and also said not enough power for him either. 700 or larger is better in the new body style. You need to ride one before you decide to buy one.

The 06 RMK's are significantly different then the 07 and 08 RMK's. The 06's were good but the later ones were lighter (raw chassis) and some of the bugs were worked out (better spindles, and better CFI mapping). I have a 07 700 155 Dragon with 750 rode it like I stole it miles and absolutely love the machine. I came off a modded 2004 edge and at first was worried about the lack of power but not after a few rides. The only limitation I have is ME, I've rolled the thing many times, mowed down tree's, skipped off rocks and the only damage incured was a busted front bumper ($57 dollar repair). An awesome, incredibly fun, bullet proof, fun, relaiable machine. :face-icon-small-coo:beer;:beer;

Very capable sled, and will do anything that my 700 will do. I only have 60 miles on each sled, so I havent got the chance to do any real good comparison test yet. The 600 is my wifes sled, but I think I will be getting plenty of seat time just so I can show up bigger cc sleds from a couple of years ago.

Mine is just a 144" and I love it already. This thing is the real deal, the chassis just flat out works. Simple, clean and reliable engine package. I wanted the cfi package, but it wasn't an option for a 144"er, maybe next season.

I love mine. I do alot of boondocking, and deep snow riding, it is an awesome sled.

This may or may not be a bad thing. I was under the impression that my 600 was getting TERRIBLE gas mileage. I had some detonation problems the other day...Fuel issues. I went thru my carbs and drained my tank. Before i drained it the float gauge read empty. I took almost 4 gl. of fuel out. Then when I started with some fresh 110 I had 5 gl. I pored that in...It (fuel gauge) still reads empty. When you ride where we ride you dont want to take chances running out, so I never pushed the issue. I dont think they are as bad as I originally thought?

Yo Kevco, on those bottomless utah sugar pow early season days, does your sled seem to struggle a little, missing the torque the bigger sleds have?? My sled is neck and neck with most 7 and 8's on 80 % of the days, but we have had a couple DEEP days and my sled struggled slightly. Thinking about gearing down. You messed with gearing down kevco?

My sled is VERY VERY torquey on the bottom. I can pull wheelies on packed snow easy. Gearing and clutching are BONE stock. I have a Holz front end and stock skid. I have taken EVERYTHING i dont have to have off. Down to the foam on the motor compartment. Other an the SLP stuff pipe intake and about $1000.00 of vents;) I milled my head .013 and have a .060 squish. Im running about 148 lbs in each cyl at 5500'. I run the cheap belts and get a full season out of the belt and the plugs. I usually run a couple gallons of VP 110 in each tank.

M Rev we need to hook up!
