I am a former Polaris Dealer and have been out of the sport for three years. My last sled was an 05 900RMK. Had an 02 800 159 before that, so riding big sleds was not a problem. I decided to get back into the sport this year and on the advise of several good friends and racers bought a 08 600 RMK 155. I was very skeptical to say the least. I mean heres a guy that has ridden some big snowmobiles as well as 300hp mod sleds, buying a little 600! So a few weeks ago I am set to go riding with some fellow snowesters and on the way up to the mountain I get this overwhelming feeling that iv'e made a huge mistake! Everyone that I am riding with is on at least an 800!!! Great, I'm gonna be stuck all day and be the laughing stock of the group!

Not so......

Im here to tell you that little 600 ROCKS!!! I was carving powder, climbing hils, sidhilling, and just overall having a blast on that thing! What a great sled! No regrets whatsoever. After being on bigger sleds this is quiet a pleasure to ride. It does take a few more runs at the insane steep stuff but hey thats the fun of it right?? Talk about a boondockin, powder bustin sled this is it.

Just wanted to share this and see if there were any others that felt the same way!!

Rob.

2nd that

You are onto something, took the shop demo 600 out and had a blast. A bit lower gearing and minor clutching and it will be perfect. Problem is people saying things like "yeah my wife likes hers".

The whole "thats what my wife rides" thing kinda bugged me a bit too until I rode the thing! It will go anywhere with a decent rider!

3rd'ng it My 07 155 is awesome, a very impressive sled. I was blown away with what this sled does with an SLP pipe and minor clutching changes. I bought it thinking it would get 660'ed, now no way am I touching a dang thing on it!

bought an 08 155 for my son..love to get off my dragon 8 and play on his 6..it is a riot to ride..almost got the carbed version for him...glad I got the cfi instead..

Went from 700 to 600 this year it does have the 660 kit and it rocks. Went out with some 8 and 7 this weekend in about three feet of powder. the only reason i was tired after the day was spent most of the time getting them unstuck. Great sleds, probably the funnest have ever rode. Think i will mess with gearing a little.

I'm over 300 with gear while riding, and the 07 660 of mine is awesome. I finally found the only situation where it doesn't have enough power, about 4 feet of powder trying to do a sidehill. Ran out of juice about half way through it and got stuck pretty bad.

Thinking about doing a 685 or an 860 this summer.

I had heard these same things before I bought one... It has delivered! I have loved this sled. I went out last week in about 3 feet of powder with an m7 edge 800 and doo 800. I was able to keep up very well with these sleds. The only time I wish I had my 07 800 back was climbing up the long steep hills. But for a 600 it is very impressive. Fun Sled! :)

Sure like mine. Dropped the gearing a tad, stuck on Rob's BetterBoards, TCP bumper, some vents, raised the bars. Only problem now is there isn't anything else it needs.......guess I'll have to use all my time off to go ride!

As for the "My Wife sure likes her's" crowd. Great I like mine too! B

love mine! thing screams. Only thing it struggles with is about 4 feet of powder sidehilling, and here in utah, that is all we have had lately!! not that i'm complaining... I have a couple question's for you guys though, i wanna gear it down and throw some weight at the clutchs maybe.. I can smoke 800 revs on the trail, that tells me i've got way to much of my power on the top, wanna sneak that a little lower in the powerband if i could. Any of you guys have some suggestions, and observations from before and after you did this

Wow!!!

Didnt know there were this many small bore owners around. And look, no women have responded yet! :p

The 600HO 144 I ride is amazing. Put a barkbuster on the front, and a 2.4 inch track on. I'm a bit smaller than a lot of the riders, so this thing will haul my *** to places I should never be. So much fun to ride!

We have an 07 144 that we absolutely love. Yes, it is technically my wife's sled but this sled is by no means just for the ladies. Put a decent rider on it and it will run with almost anything out there. My wife and I switch sleds frequently so I have ridden it quite a bit over the last few weeks and have no complaints whatsoever. Its light, it has good power, and the handling is really nice. No regrets from either my wife or I about buying this one.
