i've been wondering if someone made a cut out for the boards made of vinyl if this would help also. maybe you could try that and let us know
looks like it works decent on the first try. will be interesting to see what different snow conditions produce. the area i'm most/more concerned about is on the top of the tunnel. a substantial amount of wet snow/ice always builds up between the heat exchangers. don't know how heat tape would effect the heat exchangers? probably not much since it is the top side. vinyl might work just as good? on one of my iq sleds i installed a thin layer of hdpe to the inside of the tunnel sides. after a season i decided it probably wasn't worth the effort for the limited effect it had.

Napa probably sells some vinyl tape for cars and such
but I got mine at autozone. Sorry matt
they had 6" and 3" wide rolls.
Good luck, and definetly reccomend the vinyl
and a pic of after ride
NapaMatt,
I bet if you plugged in the "heat" tape it would do wonders.
