or.....learn how to ride the sled....
IMO, your money is better spend on gas learning how to ride with out the lefty because they are a waist of money and dangerous.
They can be hit on trees
bumped on accident
people who may barrow your sled don't know they are there
get frozen open
more crap to clutter up your bars....
I had one like 4 years ago and i used it a handful of times....mostly on the trail when my thumb would get soar.... thats about it.
I have 4 sleds and have the Gold Finger on all 4. I love it. Easy to install and works great. 08 Dragon, 05 IQ 900, 03 800 RMK, 94 XLT. You can lock the throttle with a included pin if you don't want accidents or new riders borrowing your sled. Never have "bumped" mine on accident. Suppose there is always a first time. Wouldn't trade it for the world.I would like to know witch left hand throttle everyone likes, best fit and finish
My first time that I accidently "bumped" a left handed throttle almost sent a customers brand spanking new $30,000 custom sled into another guys $100,000 motorhome! When you flick the "brake" it isn't supposed to leap out of your hands. That is a shocking experience. Luckily with my cat like reflexes (it only took two stabs and thirty feet of dragging me along to figure it out) all that was damaged was my enormous ego. More fortunately was the fact that the 100 onlookers happen to be behind me instead of in front of me where I may have killed somebody.
Yikes I say....loaded and cocked weapon so I hope you don't forget to put the "safety" on one time and hurt yourself or some other unsuspecting person.
Ran into another dang left handed gadget this past weekend and it nearly got me again! This time I was helping a guy get his sled out of a sticky situation that he was not comfortable trying and because of my great concern and fear of that damn thing I almost put his new buggy into the trees. Couldn't even accomplish a basic sidehill starting recovery because I was busy worrying about his left hand throttle. Didn't make the initial move and straight down we went at gravity's bec-n-call. Once again my cat like reflexes and super advanced riding skills saved the day and we got his brand spanking new Polaris 800 up and out with no damage (well that I caused....the rolling that got it where it was ate a windshield). (now as far as skills read $HIT HOUSE LUCK) "Here is your sled...now go home and take that exta wrong side throttle off"
