I assume you are talking about getting into Mad Lake... that was my plan yesterday but melted 2 pistons about Sugarloaf. How is the snow at Mad Lake? Looking at the SnoTel for Trinity it looks like it might be pretty good in there.

Gordy - I now know why you are scared... any one that puts ski marks over my head on a 24" trail should be a little on edge!!! I was a little nervous too, forgot to put the camera on… have to remember that's when the good stuff happens

HM8 - that “Wind Drift Bustin” should be on film! Always fun to ride with floks that know how it’s done, and can show me!

Keep us posted on how the riding is... our family own's a cabin up above town off of Mountain Home RD. Never ridden over there but always thought it would be a cool area.

Maxwell, your family has a cabin over here? You definitely have to make a trip. It's getting better, if you aren't getting good riding down around Packwood or wherever else you ride, come over here. It's decent now, from what I've seen. I'll get out more early this week and check some more out.

Unfortunately I'm not around this Sat. Would love to hit up another ride. Snow is a little hard off trail, but we did find some play areas.

Nope, went up around Sugarloaf. Snow was pretty good, enough cover that as long as you weren't mobbing too stupid, the stumps weren't a problem off trail.

Fish Lake (1998') Forcast 27-47" by Wednesday Night!!!

We need 30" by Saturday to get to 100% cumulative for that date. Need 44" by the 31st to be 100%.

All that wet rained on snow at Christmas has turned into a block of ice and this deep powder will insulate it shaping up for a potentially great spring!!! Trail riding till tax day

Apparently a 40 and 13-year-old versions of the Hokey-Poky around a Huggys diaper box bonfire is the ticket!

The riding has been pretty awesome this week in the area. Stayed low 2 days in a row (first day riding with my wife and her borrowed 583 with a 136 track, second day riding solo, so had to reduce exposure and stay out of bad avy conditions or too deep of snow) and was not even disappointed a little bit. Going just a little ways up an ungroomed road on Pole Ridge got me into 4-5 feet of fresh untracked. Amazing conditions. Stumps are a thing of the past. Looks like a warm up is coming for the weekend, so weekend warriors might miss perfect conditions, but as long as avy conditions aren't too bad, you'll have great riding because of the good coverage.

Oh, and any Brown road/Wispering Pines residents: I broke trail more than halfway to Brown road from the airstrip for ya.

Some of the best snow two days in a row out Trinity. Went out today to mop up left over’s from all the folks out Saturday and it had dumped another 18" overnight!!! Was awesome! Snow packed goggles!

Saturday during the warm up we were in a potential avy area and sitting at the bottom of a hill climb we were talking about it and looking around... looked back up the hill and there was a fresh slide at the top, i think just happened while we were talking about it so we boogied out of there.
