Leavenworth Riding?

We're staying up at Stevens Pass the next 10 days or so, sort of using it as a home base. Does anyone know where there is some fun places to ride just east of the pass? All ability levels?

Know lots of places. Not many places with enough snow to be worth it right now. For the early part of your trip, Smithbrook would be good. Not groomed, but there is snow. It's about 5 miles down from the top of the pass on the east side, and you have to be in the westbound lane to get to it, there is a cutoff from the eastbound, but it's usually snowed in and unplowed. Toward the later part of your trip, Lake Wenatchee should be good, if the snow comes as predicted. Get a Lake Wenatchee Ranger District map for the Smithbrook area, and standard state snowmobile trail maps (like in the sticky on the WA forum) cover the Lake Wenatchee area well.

Dang, I must be getting soft. I just gave a westsider tips on where to ride.

I'm watchin' ya! Nothing to see here... move along :face-icon-small-win

But really not many places with the curent snow conditions for good riding, just trail stuff. Might be a good exploration year?

Yeah, I lived up at Lake Wenatchee for about 7 years and always hated it when we'd get a bunch of snow during the holidays because of the invasion from the westside. But it does make a guy branch out a lot more and find new places to ride. I do have a decent advantage of working in the woods, so I spend all summer scouting. This summer I started working out of Entiat and have a good handful of out of the way areas I want to check out if we ever get snow.

Breaking trail in the morning...

Saturday might be bluebird and powdery:face-icon-small-ton

FYI every where else is stump fest :face-icon-small-fro

Keep us posted on how the riding is... our family own's a cabin up above town off of Mountain Home RD. Never ridden over there but always thought it would be a cool area.

To the crew that went today... I apologies for not being able to get you to the good stuff because of the over the handle bar powder :face-icon-small-coo... your “Maverick Trail Breaker’s” voucher is good for repeat attempts :face-icon-small-ton

No this is Fish Lake :face-icon-small-win

i only ride the trails... and if there might be a pic of my sled with me standing on the seat and that only showing you can rest assured that it was photo shoped as i never go off the trail:nono: all i can tell you is that i am sore.
