Just got back from another week out in the Tog. Pass area. Stayed at Lava Mountain Lodge for the first time (15 years going out to this area). Had excellent snow all week. We stayed in the big house. The cabin was rustic, water was warm, and the food was excellent. They had a heated shop that was ours to use anytime. Thanks to all the people at the lodge and cowboy for showing me yet another new area with miles of untouched. We will be back.
On another note. Two of us had minor sled problems on our 11 M8's. I took out a front float on a tree and my buddy broke a spider. We limped the sleds back early and started calling for parts. We could not find a shock or a 11' primary anywhere around. Nobody stocks much for parts. After 3+ hours on the phone I thought to give Troy at Lincoln County Customs in Alpine a call as he told me he works on pretty much anything that comes through the door. He made some calls and found out he could make an 09 cat primary work with some minor machining. He had the clutch by 12:00 the next day and we drove down to have him work on it. He got it in imediately and within 2 1/2 hours we had a perfectly running primary and a rebuilt float. LCC pretty much salvaged our last two days. He also gave me some advise on a turbo that was not even one of his builds.
I can't say enough about the good service we recieved at both of these places and I hope everyone sends them some bussiness in the future.
