So 10 days ago was the best it has been this year, great day. Headed up to day out of Tibble fork and I was surprised at the amount of bare road and sidehills. Some stretches were actually DUSTY! That and I'm still dodging stumps and fenceposts. Unless I can get out the day of or day after the storm, I'm done! :(((( On a side note, loving my new F-150 with ecoboost!!

This year still gets my vote for worst snow year ever!!

X2.....worst ever easily since I've been riding (20 years). I was thinking that riding season would end a month earlier then normal this year, now I'm thinking 2 months early, unless it changes drastically snow will be gone by mid April:face-icon-small-con

Crazy how it fast the snow changed in one week. On Sunday march 4, we were hitting cliffs and drops and landing in fresh pow, then this past Sunday, march 11, same area, snow is concrete and disappearing fast! Our bomb holes from the 4th even had a few rocks showing in them. But hindsight, I don't have a motor so I'm not missing this great snow!

In 4 days Friday-yesterday Bountiful road melted out about 1 mile, ridge lines melted 200 feet. I would say we lost about 1/3 the snow pack up there in 4 days.

Time to head north, still snowing like crazy in whistler... 20' base... WHAT? haha :face-icon-small-ton

Mid April? I doubt it will even stay that long. It might be gone by the end of March. Unless it snows again I am done. Last weekend was more like a June ride. and I have seen more snow in the middle of June than there was last weekend.

We're out for the year. No quality = no quantity.:face-icon-small-sad

X2.........I have a family ride just puttin around on saturday and then I'm out. On the 28th I have a ride with skidoo on the new 13's. If they weren't providing the sled and fuel I would officially be done.

I am ready for summer though. Picked up a new toy to play with the kids.
Bring on the sun!

How do you like the Ecoboost? Does it really get as good of mileage as they claim. A new FX4 with Ecoboost is right on top of my wish list.

Bountiful 3/14

This is from the top of the ridge wednesday :face-icon-small-sad

I may be done. Also thanks to our rising gas prices, the snow aint worth it. Thinking Saturday will be it unless something changes in our weather pattern. 60+ a day is melting it all away kwick..

I'd plan on 2 mpg better than your other truck. I'm getting 17 around town. Haven't been on a road trip yet. old truck was 13-14 mpg around town. Pulled my trailer nicely though!! only 20 mile round trip but was at 11 mpg where old truck was 9.

Yep, we're done. :face-icon-small-sad

I don't remember a powder ride worth remembering. That's pretty sad.

Couple M's for sale in the next couple weeks though.

Time to get ready for dirt rides. That's what's nice about dirt, I don't have to wait for it to fall from the sky.

Don't get me wrong though, I'd pick a sunny day with a couple feet of fresh powder over it in a heartbeat.

Yikes!! That looks terrible. Got hyfax?:face-icon-small-sho

Dirt it is

My son made me get the KTM's ready for this weekend. Now that I moved sleds and bikes around it will probably dump snow! Oh well, I can move stuff around again, but it has to dump, 3-4 inch storms are not going to cut it around here.
Best ride of the year was March 3 (in Utah that is :face-icon-small-win)

Worst year ever for me..two good rides with my son and a three hour ride with the guys before a ski got ripped off.....now my back is all jacked up again.... Guess I will get the surgery now and try to be healed up for summer :face-icon-small-sad

Well we have managed about 700 miles this year in 16 days of riding. Averaged 43 Miles a day. But the first 5 rides in Nov and Dec were in about 6 - 12 - 24" of snow at best and that is it. Our group Lost 2 A arms, 2 rear bumpers a front bumper, a clutch 2 engines & 1 broken leg and ancle so far. :( But we had 3 new sleds that were bought in the last month because of my Pro I bought in July so that is a plus. :face-icon-small-hap

Last year by March 16th we had ridden 26 times. This year only 16 times so far. Last year we rode a total of 40 days. This year we will probably not even hit 20. We rode from Nov - July last year. That spans 9 months of riding. Now this year our rides really didnt start until Jan 21st and I think we will be done on March 19th if not March 10th depending on this storm that comes in this weekend. Nov and Dec rides sucked with hardly any snow so they really didn't even count, and I actually took out my wheeler 2 times in Dec and once in Jan. So really we have had since Jan 21st - March 10 that we have ridden 11 times. Only 3 rides in decent powder.
So really winter has only been here for 50 days. Jan 20th through March 10th. Last year we rode sleds that spaned 235 days. Nov 13th through July 6th. and I think we had more snow in our Nov- Dec rides last year than we have had all year this year.... Hold on let me check..........

Ok so I just checked my Alta snow chart history that I have been collecting since 2004 and I am right. This year to date it has snowed a total of 267" at Alta Ski resort. Last year by Dec 31st it had snowed 264"
By the end of March last year Alta had 565" of snowfall. Thats 300" more snow than we have had this year. Oh and we haven't even hit 300" yet this year. If anybody thought that it could not be worse than 2 years ago we have all been proven wrong. This has got to be the worst winter on record!!!
What really sucks is that we are now still 8 months away from the beginning of the next season. This is going to be a long summer.:face-icon-small-sad

Yep I think last Saturday was the last ride of the season for me unless we get some absolutely massive freak storms in the next few weeks .... I've already begun putting the sled stuff away and getting the dirt bike ready.

Sucks, I was hoping to sled in UT more before I move, but guess its not happening :(
