Larger grips?

If you are running 7/8" bars you can use MTN bike grips they work very well but it takes a little longer for your grip heaters to warm them up. Otherwise try RSI.

The RSI grip tape does not increase the diameter of the bar by much. It's pretty hard to put something on thats thick enough and still get any heat through it. I think all the aftermarket bars taper down to 7/8". I have large hands too and I know that the fit of the glove has a lot to do with blisters forming.

I usually ride in mechanics gloves so they're pretty thin. The problem with the thin gloves is that it aggrivates the issue of small grips and large hands. Even on my dirtbike the grips are small for my hands.

Just picked up a couple moldable grips from Menards. Have'nt put em on yet but they had a sample of one on the handle of a hammer. I guess you drop them in hot water for a bit and put them around the handle of an object, then grip it with your hands and it forms to your hand/fingers as it cools. Reminds me of the football mouthpieces. Not sure yet how they stay put, the one on the hammer handle was very secure but it may have been glued. $6.99 per. I picked em up to hopefully go over the worthless bar ends Polaris uses.

Hope the picture loads. I wear a size 13 glove so I can relate. I cut the flange end off these grips then blow them on with an air gun. They go right over the top of the stock grip so you aren't messing with the grip heaters or anything. I will get a couple seasons out of them before they sack out. These knobby grips really add traction when hanging off the side of the sled and also add work as a cushion from vibration on the bars.

I think that's what I'll try next weekend. Does the grip effect or limit WOT since the throttle lever now does not go all the way to the bar with the larger grip now? Thanks for the pic-
