laramie wyoming, how far to good riding

I think Minie me is correct.
If you park at Albany you have to have the pass.

I went to the meetings year plus ago and the plan was to expand the parking at chains end and Albany plus put a new lot in at greenrock. The problem was they wanted to put the lot at a weird spot that would go thru a proposed wilderness area at a much lower elevation. You wouldn't be able to ride out of the lot till they started grooming which would kill the riding season.

We had a lot of people up at the meeting including some crosscountry skiers and snowshoers. We all agreed that was a BAD idea. We proposed putting it in a much better spot that would seperate us from the non-motorized groups and they loved the idea also. Haven't heard a word since then. No idea if they are planning on building the new lots or enlarging the existing lots or not.

The parking fee was to pay for the maintenance of the lots since the country and state were not going to be plowing or maintainthem, the forest service would take that over.

What?? Buy a pass to park... I parked on the road at green rock all last year, every weekend and never bought a pass.

my understanding is until the build the new lot at greenrock you don't need to buy the pass. You can call the local forest office and check to make sure.
