laramie wyoming, how far to good riding

you prolly won't have time to ride while getting a education. I would just hit the books, chicks game system till ya graduate.

45? it never took that long even after a hard *** night at the Buckhorn!!!! It seems forever driving across the flat but we usually did it in 30 minuets or so. Depends on weather and trust me it can get ****ty as heck going from Laramie to Centennial. Took me and a bud nearly a whole hour we couldnt keep the trailer on the road cause there was 6" of ice on it!!! Theres a flat strech bout 3 miles before Centennial and nearly every day we went up there you could bet on hitting that streach and slowing you down with 50 MPH winds and blinding snow! Just ask Joe(snowcross338) he can fill ya in!!! But once you make it up towards Green Rock its all good:cool:

I had plenty of time for sledding in college, it all depends on your priorities and time management 'skills'.

I graduated from the University of Wyoming in 4 years with an engineering degree, averaged over 2000 miles a year on sleds, and got paid to ride my JR and SR years (worked as a tour guide on the weekends).

Yes even then, I still had time to chase girls and did more than enough partying/drinking.

Make sure to schedule your spring classes so that you can ride in the afternoons during the week :)

Depending on how good of a snow year you get around there this year, even a quick 10 min. drive east up to Lincoln pass(we all called it Happy Jack) can get you into some sleddin. at least one day a week after class me and a few buds would load up and drive to Happy Jack and tune our sleds and screw around alittle. Theres an old ski hill up there thats fun to play on. made some sweet kickers and just had fun boondockin around. wasnt more than 3 feet up there at one time but in places it really drifts in deep. Check it out someday when your there. last year i was in school there attending Wyotech and everyone said it wasnt the best snow year so just see what this season brings!!! Laramie is a unique town lol! and the Snowies are f'n sweet!!!

i live in Laramie and there's a group of us who usually try and go up every weekend to ride sleds.

there's also a few of us who go ride bikes (i have a YFZ450 quad),
there's a track north of town thats fun, trails no matter what direction you leave town, and dunes about an hour away at Walden Co.

Laramie is a pretty good place to be if you like playing outside, you could do alot worse;)

last i knew you didnt need a pass to park on the hiway...
i would not recommend riding the happy jack area cause you will get a ticket if you get caught up there. not sure on the whole area but the old ski area is off limits.
