Lake Creek - Tower Mtn area?

Anyone been riding up out of TimberLakes or Lake Creek up towards Tower Mtn/Duchesne Ridge area yet? Looking to get out in the next few days and would rather not drive all the way around to Nobilettes

Did you guys start out of the parking lot or have to trailer up past it a ways? Any grooming done up top?

DNR guy in the lot said they'd started grooming two days ago. Discovered they'd groomed up Mill Hollow to the high point as we rode down around 4:30 which was awesome (the ride in was whooped out and we were spent). It is DEEP up there...

Does anyone know if that parking area in Timberlakes everyone usually pulls into is closed for the season? Maybe the property owner has changed or he no longer wants anyone in there? I was up there Saturday and the gate was closed and locked up.

Do you mean the public lake creek lot at the top of the road thats been locked up all winter? If so, that is now open. They were just waiting on snow conditions to improve because everyone in the world always drives thru their vegetation instead of getting right on the road.

I don't believe you... Anyone that rides mid week is not to be trusted.. And rides why there riding partner is out of state... Not cool!!!!!

Not my fault you had to destroy your front end and then go home for Christmas. Oh, and it was one of those days that you LOVE !!

^^^^^^EDIT: above Rixster---- Yup. Let's be responsible folks. Remind your friends to respect what other folks offer us. This is in my back yard and the people here are great.

Anywho, I will be headed out from my house tomorrow (Timberlakes) if anyone wants a tag-a-long that isn't very good. I am all about fun though so hopefully that makes up for my suckyness

We rode that area yesterday and found a LOT of great snow. We were first tracks in most places (coming in from Timberlakes), found great snow, mostly bottomless in tress and north facing slopes, decent base everywhere else, hardly felt anything underneath at all. We were on the snow at 9am, left at 3:30pm, more riders appearing later in day, most area between Tower and Timberlakes pretty well tracked up now (sorry)! We did not make it past the junction, but the snow up by the junction was wind blown, low in spots and not worth riding on. Went back towards Timberlakes and only left because we were getting low on gas. Another good storm and it should be good again. Very pleased with conditions yesterday.

Certainly good conditions. A few sharks under there, but not too bad. If it looks like a snow covered rock or log than it is.

Def not tracked out. Once I left the trail from timberlakes, I didn't cross another track. Fun fun!

Thanks for the ride today Powdr! We had a blast! :-)

All that nice new snow 10 minutes from the house and I'm stuck working in rainy Portland! Let's see those pictures.
