The only one of the big 3 that isn't asking for a handout! I would have to say that my next truck purchase is going to be with them. Stand strong and survive!!!

GM mentioned dumping Saturn

Sh*t!!! That's my commuter

Good for a little while yet Nate

The Saturn brand, meanwhile, will remain in operation through the end of 2011. GM said it's open to the possibility of a plan from retailers or investors that would allow a spin-off or sale of Saturn.

It's only because Ford took out billions in loans from the private sector just before the collapse.

awww im not too worried :face-icon-small-hap I got a nice 09' Kingranch to drive to work everyday. The car is nice to go to Utah on $45 though.

If we come out of the recession a nice Audi A4-5 or BMW M3/5 series sounds nice though. I just dont use my trucks as much, only for hunting and what not. The ole 82 Chevy and my F-150 just dont get used as much.

But when it comes to purchasing another truck in the future will most likely be a Ford or Chevy. I have had good luck with my Ford. My last 2 work trucks were Chevy's and im not over zealously impressed with them. We will see how the King Ranch does.

I dont care if they are the only one not asking for a hand out, they still make a nice piece of ****. I would never buy one of their new trucks.

ahhh..ford pres said that if they got govt help he would work for a buck a year...he likes his big pay...thats the biggest reason he aint asking yet..

You guys are ruthless, what can a company do to win with you all? Ask for help and your ****, don't ask and your still ****.

I was waisting some time at a Dodge dealer the other day. The cheapest truck on the lot (diesel) was a quad cab bighorn 3500 for $51k. The most expensive was a mega with leather and all the goodies... $62k. Who in thier
right mind would pay that kind of money for a truck? It's no wonder they are
going titttts up!

Ford put a bad taste in my mouth and I would have to think long and hard
about buying another one of those!

I was going to get a new truck when my next oil check comes in.
Not sure, thinking Dodge right now, that will probably change though.

is cummins realy owned by ford?

I believe it to be true that some years back Navistarr bought Cummins. I also have heard that when the grandfather rights expire that Dodge will be turning to Catipiller for their new diesel power plants. If i am incorrect my appologies to anyone that has better info.

thats what they need to do . that is better than taking a HANDOUT from the gov. small business cant go in front of congress and say they need money, they get a loan.
i say let gm and chrysler file bankrupcie and start over W/O the union ties, they can renegotiate for the contracts
