KMOD converstion kit review

got 4 good rides on this thing, and its pretty simple, this is the single most functional/important mod i can think of....even the turbo takes a back seat to this thing

the weight transfer is dreamy, soaks up the dumps, and flat out allows me to ride like i have never ridden a turbo sled before...before i could only get my stocker to transfer weight in tight steep tree areas, now i can do this with a ton more power:face-icon-small-hap

in years past my turbo would do nothing but wheelie out of control and/or get me stuck:face-icon-small-dis

Congrats. Kevin's stuff is awesome. Once you have a good skid you will never do a sled again especially with a turbo without doing the skid. The difference is about as large as doing the turbo itself on some sleds.

Hatchers, I think you really took the wrong approach. A dreamy ride, sure, it is nice.......but if you need to keep the front end down it is easy to turn the boost down and it doesnt cost anything. I really think you missed the mark here.

i also was looking at the conversion kit, glad to hear its working well.
did you or have you done anything to your existing shocks?
or are they still in stock form?
(and you just added the conversion.)

I assume when you do the conversion you send Kevin your shocks and he revalves them. Is this correct, Hatchers?

You send both shocks to KMOD and we send back your modified stock shocks and the complete conversion kit in one box. The turn around time is 1 day after we get your shocks. We also have an exchange program available. Other shock options are available as well, (Raptor and Evol) for additional money but the modified stock shocks work really well. The price for the complete conversion kit is $895. Thank You, Budd

have two rides on myn and love it works great alot nicer to ride on the trail and man did it make a new sled out of my turbo in the trees and climbing at 11-12lbs of boost the front only just floats the skis where before where looking at the sky all the time and when you would go to climb you could get lost in the holes I would dig all over the hill not anymore thanks alot to kevin this is going to be a good year of sleding

Merry Christmas

Conversion or full skid? Which shocks?

So I just last week finally got my Twisted M8 on the snow last week and found a few things. Firstly, I couldnt stop grinning from the power, and also when I was climbing that when climbing it would catwalked way too much. I didnt think that the ride was too terrible, just hated how it wanted to come over backwards in the steep, also made it dificult to side hill sometimes as it wanted to dart into the hill. Will the KMOD conversion help with this? Cause if it cures this, I'm in.

OK I hadnt refreshed before Cody posted. Are others finding this too?
Thanks - Jason

So what's the overall difference between doing this setup and the OVS wheelie control? Better ride? I can't afford downtime this season waiting for shocks being from Canada and all so maybe I'll do the OVS this season and the Kmod in the summer... Thoughts?

Boost controllers only turn one way...... duh:face-icon-small-dis

ive got both, the OVS rear coupler does keep the nose down on a steedy easy grade, but understand it just keeps the rear sissor from moving thus keeping the nose down..you get zero weight transer and it will hop up on a bump while climbing

yes downtime does suck, im not sure about the canada customs thing..but i do know my turn around was only 4 days
