Klim Valdez vs Thomahawk vs Scott X-1

My friend picked up a really nice Scott jacket this year at one of the snow shows for super cheap ($100 new). It is a really nice jacket with a great fit. I can't seem to find any place that sells them discounted. I'm pretty sure it is the X-1 Jacket. If I can't find that jacket for cheap I'll be going with Klim.

I can't decide on getting the Tomahawk jacket or the Valdez. Is the Valdez worth the extra money? I have only had the opportunity to try on the Valdez and it fit great and was exactly what I'm looking for, but the price of the Tomahawk is more in my price range. Any thoughts between these two? I'm looking at all the jackets in an XL.

I don't think it's that uncommon to find Scott jackets that cheap. Up here one dealer sells them for $99 several times a year. I bought one. I didn't like it, though, sold it for $50 and upgraded to a Klim. Ask the dealers if they have sales on the Scott stuff, if you really want one. Otherwise wait for someone like me to put their Scott jacket on Craigslist.

I found the the jacket and pants that I wanted and called up rockymountainsnowmobile.com (motofrugals.com) and they order them for me. They do have some in stock, but not the one I wanted. So they order them for me. They were pretty accommodating. I would give them a call.
