Klim Valdez coat

Ok, I,m going to be getting a new coat for this coming season and plan on buying the Klim Valdez coat. My question is, do I buy one now or wait and see what the new changes IF any are in store for the coat? I realize that there may be an incentive to buy now, lower price, but IF they do change the coat most likely it will be for the better. Does anyone know if they are going to be making changes on the Valdez coat and if so what they are?
Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure Klim introduces their new line up in March. The Valdez won't change before the snow falls.

We have worn this jacket for several days of riding this year. It is once again introduced in the Goe-Tex PRO Shell and comes with a completely redesigned ventilation system. There have also been some reinforced Cordura areas that see heavy wear or high abrasion, but the addition will not make the jacket any less functional or moveable. The jacket returns made out of a rugged Nylon, and the increased durability and ventilation is 100% designed for an aggressive snowmobiler. Some other notable things that you will see once pictures are released is some silicone graphics that aid in keeping back packs where they should be. The venting is now easier to reach and operate than ever before, not to mention is designed to be used and still vent while wearing a back pack. Last but not least, added some new color ways this year as well. Hope this helps, we will have a pre-order on the new jackets coming up around the first of August, and we also have Valdez jackets from 2014 that are on clearance at our online store now.

At the Expo in West Yellowstone, I remember that Klim set up a display at the Polaris dealer introducing their new line up. Was it just a work in progress?

Everything that time of year is a work in progress. Small changes will come and evolve over the coming months into production. Just like the demo sleds we ride for the coming year, they never seem to be exactly what we rode the previous spring. They will continue to tweak and test on what they have to make the best possible product, and that goes for all companies. With that said, most changes are so minimal the user will have no clue that any changes happened. That is why they can show off the new product so early in the year.

My Valdez has a couple seasons on it and it f'n rocks. You will not be disappointed with one, no matter the year.
