Klim shrinkage after washing?

Should I buy a size larger than I normally would? One person I talked to said that his Valdez jacket shrunk after washing. Is there a better way to clean the bibs and jackets to avoid shrinkage?

I personnaly have never seen any shrinkage. As most of us age we seem to get larger. with that in mind I would buy a jacket that is not snug. If I can help you with your Klim need please contact me.

I am willing to bet that they either A.) washed it on hot or B. The coat didnt shrink but they grew....

I have washed my Valdez dozens of times and my pants and bibs multiple times and never an issue!!!

would be VERY surprised to see shrinkage...well except after they stayed out a little too long, and things got cold!!!

No issues here with washing and shrinkage (also have the Valdez jacket, FreeRide pants).

I don't think it's possible for their outerwear to shrink, it's all synthetic. I've had Klim gear for 8 seasons or so...no shrinkage.

wash in cold water...no shrinkage here.

Ditto- Much better to wash than to just "shake up". Moderate dryer heat is good for the gortex.

They don't shrink but DO run small...
