Your in luck, I was just about to debut my new line of hot pink one piece suits, with lime green pin striping, I am still working on the matching moon boots and mittens, you will be the coolest looking guy on the snow! so what size are you? I can get em sent off to ya :D

Nice!! I might have to change the paint on the old sled to match but we'll make it work. HA Lol
(O Yeah Im a Large) Prolly need height too on a one piece 5'10

Has anyone used the Klim powerxross pullover. I was thinking about trying it next year as my outer layer because I get hot in my regular coat. Are they warm enough to keep you warm riding in 10 degree weather?

I have the HMK Stealth jacket and pants. They are the best gear i have ever had. Better than castle, klim, arctic cat, and choko. Both the jacket and the pants have removeable linners. Wearing the gear is like wearing a windbreaker you can barely feel it. will be purchasing the boot for this year, replacing the castle snocross boots that leak like a civ but are war when they are dry.

I had Choko back in the day(not worth mentioning) and then Klim about 7 years ago. It was uncomfortable at first, especially when racing sno-x and hillclimbing. However, I couldn't complain, first real set of gear I had at that point(Doo and Cat gear wasn't really all that in the 90's) It was light years ahead of what I had. Wore it 3 years and other than the fact my gear was yellow and got dirty quick, it's in mint shape. Infact my dad still wears his gear 7 years later! Still looks great.
Then I got some FXR gear and while it was awesome for the track, it got wet in the hills. I bought some Ski-Doo Gore-tex mountain lite bibs a few years ago and WOW. Just the shell, they work awesome, usually just my underlayer on and I'm good right up until about -10. Colder and I throw on some sweats.
For a jacket I bought a HMK last year. Best thing I've had bar-none. Wore the Castle X before and this one is 10X better. Not to mention the company is one of the top 5 in the sled industry for sure. Absolutely love my jacket, venting is good, pockets are awesome and plenty(one more on the sleeve would be mint, about the size of a one-hitter ;) )
Boots are the HMK Boa's. They aren't waterproof guys, not intended to be, but I bet not one person's foot ever got cold.

I got 3 buddies all buying HMK for next year because I never stopped talking about how I liked my gear.

I wear the powerxross pullover. I have not wore a coat since I bought my first pullover 4 years ago.

FXR had a sweet new line last year and its back again this year, its called the Vertical Series. Never have I been so happy in a set of gear, IMO Klim is way to heavy and makes me feel clamy. Rode all over the US last year from the trails of WI to the mountains of WY and was thoughroly impressed. They are using a new material called Tetratex which is supposed to breath at a lower temperature then gore tex, letting out the moisture before you even start to get hot. Not to mention the movement in the jacket is increbdible, its light and it feels unbelieveably free. I would suggest it to anyone looking to buy new gear!!!!

I went back and forth with all the brands and ended up with FXR and love it. I am sure with all the new technology they are all good.

I vote this the dumbest comment of the year.

LOL

While riding in the trees this year I ripped my klim pants. I sent them off to klim last week on wed. and just got them back today you cant even tell they were shreded. Klim has great customer service and I am allways dry in there gear well not allways my gloves get wet.

The Pullover is all I wear no matter what the temp is. I layer underneath accordingly.

In response to the poster above. I do the EXACT same thing. I have a Klim base layer and the Klim Inferno Top with a Pullover over that. It is good until about 10 Degrees. Anything below that and I add a layer or two. Now if I am just trail cruising it can get a little cold, but for aggressive off trail it is fine.

Cheers

BigHoe seriously look into the HMK Stealth apparel. For the price of one good H2o proof shell you get the best of all worlds. They come with an insulated inner jacket for guys that trail ride or sit around alot. I've never actually rode with it installed because with body armor I'd be too hot. The liner is useful around the parking lot and trailer for working on your buggies and not tearing, wearing out, melting, or dirting up your ride gear. Also quite fashionable and can be used to get chicks in random alpine bars! (:D) Proven to work here in the States and we are currently testing in Sweden and Norway.

For free riding I have not worn or used a shell, jacket, or hoody that was any more useful then the Stealth System. (I can outfit a small army with my various brands and models of pullover shells..all of which have one sacrefice or another) It's essentially a center zip coat but feels, fits, and performs like a SUPER LIGHT shell. You still get h2o proof layer, wind doesn't pass through freely, snow sheds easily, more useful pockets, and all with a feather light total freedom of movement. (plus you look cool in case you run across some hotties..which should always factor in to your shopping decisions)

You get a naughty naked feeling but you are warm...kind of like running commando at a job interview (I think "Stealth" is another term for commando) or how Mark Messenbrink must feel like when he rides with women's underware on!:devil::devil::devil:

i am a snowboarder at heart
used to compete and get somewhat free gear
i use sessions jacket and 686 pants

would never buy anythin other than snoboard gear
most durable, functional, comfortable gear out there
i ride in -25 weather here in ol Saskatchewan w just a HH lifa base layer, tshirt & HH 200gm fleece.....never been warmer
out west i just wear the base layer and the jacket.........works PERFECT

i even use Burton mitts, yes MITTS on the trail
then switch to a spring glove for backcountry riding

im not brand loyal, just whatever fits best

oh yeah

also rock HMK boots...friggen love them, LOVE THEM!!!!!
fit just like a snowboard boot, lots of support and feet stay dry
props to HMK for making sweet boots....and their white & orange, so they look awesome!!!!

Thanks for all the answers about the pullover. I was undecided but I think I'll give one a try next season. F-Bomb, thanks for the info about the HMK, I'd over looked it but will look into it. Thanks again.

^^^^^This is really what I'm looking for....SOLD!!!

Looking to buy some new gear. What are your guys thoughts on Klim and HMK gear? Who's better?
Thanks

I only choose Klim. I have been with them since the early days of just having the pants, back when they were made in the USA. Before I had Reima etc and while they were all ok, the Klim stuff is just the upper crust IMO. Wouldn't change anything for me. I bought my current Klim stuff back in Summer 2004 and it still is perfect. I need the boots and of course I have a variety of different gloves but my main important gear is 100% Klim.

Love my HMK gear, but their boots, for me, aren't as good as the Klim gtx boots.

...my ideal, buy them right now, boots, would be the gtx boot, with a boa system.

The new Klim Radium gore-tex boots are fantastic. You might consider giving them a good look this fall :)

I love the Klim powerxross pullover. I wear the inferno shirt and tekvest underneath and am never cold. I have 2 used ones i will sell. One is grey xxl (last years model) used 1 season $125 shipped, and the other is orange xl (2006 model) used 1 season $100 shipped.
