Klim Gloves falling apart at the seams?

Im REAL impressed with the rest of my gear though. Any idea on how to restore the water resistancy of this stuff though. After 3 seasons it is really starting to mop up the water when I ride.

They (Klim) has a product called Restore X (I think that is what it's called). Stuff works great. I had a problem with moisture coming thru the fabric (gee it only lasted 5 years:p). Used the Restore and no more problem.

I am not real impressed with their gloves. Sent mine back for warrenty and the wifes are starting to come apart also.

Mine started coming apart on only the third ride, took them back to my dealer, he gave me a new pair on the spot and sent the ****ty ones back on warrenty. Now i am wearing the powercross gloves I believe, a little thinner glove but still works well.

Klim warranty/customer service rocks!

I had a pair or Powercross gloves start ripping on the outer seam. I called Klim on Thursday, got a case number and mailed them back. I received a brand new pair in the mail today (Monday). That is great customer service and this solidifies in my mind why I have and will continue to buy Klim everytime.

Well, three pairs blown out and three new replacement pairs. Will probably just give the replacements away or keep em for spares, going to try TNA Gear next season.

I just got pair #4. LOL. You would have thought they would have the problem fixed by now! Oh well keeps me in new gloves. :p

I sent one set back to them and they sent me new ones! I thought that was a great deal, until the second came apart the same as the other ones!

I'm just going to buy a set of gloves from another company!

Building gloves that are guaranteed to keep you dry is extremely difficult under rideing conditions. If all you were doing was wearing them to hunt in or something it would not be that big of deal. The stress and wear on gloves holding onto the handle bars of a sled is unreal. Klim and all manufactures are always working at finding new and better products to hold up to the demands of aggressive riders. I take my hat off to Klim and any other manufacture for being willing to warranty these gloves as they continue to work at finding materials that will meet our demands.

I doubt you will ever find a pair of gloves that is guaranteed to keep you dry that will hold up better then Klims. They have guys all over the world wearing gloves of every make and model trying to make sure there producing the best gloves money can buy. Believe if there was a glove anywhere on the planet that would hold up better then Klim gloves they would know it and build it better.

I agree, got to giv'm credit for putting gore-tex in gloves, if you haven't noticed that stuff is like tissue paper on its own.
I've bought many brands nobody puts attention to aggressive sledding glove like klim.

Klim has really gone to Crap.
Same gloves, same problem
Balclava, fraying along the edges after 2 months of riding.
Brand new Beanie, unraveling at the top of the hat.
Bought a new Valdez parka this year. Told the dealer that its not as heavy as my older Valdez which by the way is still in great condition after 3 seasons. Dealer said that they changed their material/build for these, but they are just as good if not better than the older style. BS, I'm freezing in this jacket, the pockets are tiny, no vent in the back.
Send the gloves back for a new pair. I'll do that, and while I wait for half the season, should I buy a new pair of Klim gloves, or suffer with a crappy pair of 7-11 gloves???

Sent my gloves back and got a call from Klim today telling me no warranty because there is a burn mark on one glove. The burn wasn't even in the area thats falling apart. The glove without the burn mark has the same problem (webs of fingers on palm side falling apart, and tip of finger falling apart). I realistically wore these gloves 2-4 times and the palms were ruined.
Needless to say a sad day for me, as I've pimped the Klim product for years, and spend close to $3k a year between myself/father/uncle on their stuff. I've got an 08 Valdez parka that I wore 4 times this last season because I was freezing in it, and I'm still wearing my old lime green Valdez that is much thinker and warmer.
I called my Klim dealer of whom I personally ride with, and will have him cancel my spring order if he can, as I have a new pair of boots, and a new pair of bibs ordered.
See above post for the problems I've had with Klim stuff this last year. Of course it all says made in China on it, and it seems to be of the quality of a Harbor Freight tool (made in china as well).
The funny thing about my whole experience is:
About 3 months ago I was talking with my Arctic Cat dealer of whom is also a friend of mine(Sierra Mtn Sports) and he was telling me that next season they will carry Klim, as the area rep was in his store that morning and wants to put a big display up. I told John (Sierra Mtn Sports) the problems I was having with my Klim stuff this last season, as well as the cold Klim boots that I had (don't know the name but they are the ones with the foam inners that are stiff like a snowboard boot) The boots are basically like putting one of those white foam 7-11 throw away ice chests on your feet. My dealer John told me that I was full of it, and any problems would be taken care of by Klim. He then got on the phone with the rep that was in his store that morning, told him my situation and was told by the rep that I needed to be taken care of, and to send my stuff in and I'd get the treatment.
As you can tell, I got the treatment, and I'm pretty fired up about it, as again I spend alot of money on their stuff. Anyway Sierra Mtn Sports was on the phone with Klim today as well and they are holding their ground. Never-the-less, it's not the $70 I paid for the gloves that I care about, but the fact that I've had guys making fun of me because for the last 4 years I've had a brand new sled, and a new Klim suit to match and talked their product up like there was nothing else to buy. They want to pass their China crap on me now, don't even send the gloves back to me, just throw them in the trash and I'll take my money somewhere else.
Sorry for the rant!!! I'll catch you guys again in Oct.
