Klim Gloves falling apart at the seams?

Klim has great products, but like all brands problems do accure. My self and many riding buds use Klim, with great success and pleasure. When a problem shows up Klim has ALWAYS taken care of it, for that I say a big Thanks to Klim!!---Ken

Just got a new pair today so I can send my others back for the same problem your having:mad::beer;:(:beer;:beer;:D

Warrantee

Just got my Klimate gloves in the mail today. they were sent in for warrantee and a brand new pair sent direct to my house. They might be a bit pricey but you cannot complain about the customer service. :p
I wish a few other manufactures would learn about customer service.

Thanks Klim, I am one happy customer

Yup, I found some REI(yeah I know, but had a nice talk to a employee that rides!) cold weather mountain biking gloves. There just like a motocross palm, but wind proof and remarkably warm for how tight they are! All for under $20.

Im not impressed at all with the Klim gloves or boots. I love the rest of my gear. But for 80 bucks, my gloves are not that warm or water resistant. The boots were ruined after about 6 weekends because of my 800R running boards. Talked to Klim about warrantee and was told to take a hike. Doesnt make much sense to pay that much for a set of boots for 12 days of riding. At least offer a replacement outer boot for a decent price for the people this is happening to. I know Im not the only one.

Im REAL impressed with the rest of my gear though. Any idea on how to restore the water resistancy of this stuff though. After 3 seasons it is really starting to mop up the water when I ride.

I sent my klim gloves back after calling and getting a ra number. The thumb was coming loose from the palm on one glove. They called a few days later and said it was due to normal wear and tear and would not be fixed or replaced. Got my old gloves back in about a week. These gloves were not new (about 3 seasons on them), but were in great shape other than the threads coming out.

Yup, Klim gloves suck! Had 3 sets now and they've all fallen apart at the seems and are not water proof after just a couple rides
So who does make a killer glove?

Mechanix are still the best mountain riding glove out there!

My klim gloves came apart at the seems on the second ride. Then during the ride they snagged and ripped a little. Sent them in and they didnt do SH!T. Called them today to explain what happend, and they said because they were torn that voids the LIFE TIME WARRANTY. I told her again that they tore because they came apart at the seem, and that was a factory defect. After a lenghty dispute she told me she couldnt do anything because she just answerd the phones. SSooo why is "she" ARGUEING with me. I told her to let me talk to someone who could help me and she took my number for a warranty rep to call me back. Havent heard form them yet. I'll let you know what happens. I just want them to make things right. What is your honest opinion, and how would you deal with them?

My Klim gloves are coming apart in between the fingers too. I'm going to call tomorrow and see what they have to say. Only around 5 rides on them and I don't abuse them at all. I love the rest of my Klim gear and these gloves have been the warmest and driest I've had so I hope they warranty them! Will report back.

Do they make something warmer than the one I am thinking of? Because the ones I have in mind are the ones that are just like motocross gloves.

Ive yet to try a pair of gloves that impress me. Although a buddy I rode with this fall had a pair of Doo full length neoprene looking ones. He said they were awesome. Anyone have any experience with these?

OK Jerry called me today from klim. In a very professional manner she listened to my situation and resolved my problem. I'm glad that they took care of me, because they have such a great product, and the customer service once you get passed the receptionist. I would hate to have a sour taste in my mouth about doing business with them again. So the end of the story is. New gloves on the way, THANK YOU JERRY. another happy klim customer.

Snowmobiling is hard on gloves. People warm their hands on pipes, wrench on stuff, and put the gloves through extreme conditions. With Klim at least you know you will get the best customer service if something does go wrong.

I've been riding with same pair of Togwotee gloves for 2 years with no tearing at all. I've put around 20 rides on a set of new Powerxross gloves with no signs of wear.

Dan, we all know you ride like a sissy... ;) LOL

the powerxross gloves are awesome! over 1000 miles this season (not to mention the digging, pulling, shoveling, branch clearing, other wear not riding related)
and the gloves are in excellent condition still. Klim stands behind there product, which is something that most companies dont do. As for the boots, the way people move around on the razor sharp running boards, im impressed that they last more than 1 season. Its not Klims fault your hard on your boots...

I have all Klim gear and the only thing I am really not happy with are my Adrenaline boots. I bought them in november and they are trashed and I think they are leaking now, I tried to get them to warranty them for the sh*tty souls but they gave me a song and dance about how they are the greatest boots ever made and that they have sold thousands of them and NOBODY has called with the problem I am having so it must be my fault that the boots are falling apart. The best they would do was credit me back some money towards another pair of boots.

My opinion is that if they can't manufacture a boot that will hold together for at least a season of riding then they should go back to the drawing board.

Aside from my boots my freeride pants have lost a button, and my valdez parka has a seam that has pulled out on one pocket. So after spending about $1500 on gear I will be sending most of it back to Klim at the end of the season to see if they will do any thing about it.

I have a hard time believing that Klim argued back and had a lengthy dispute. They have by far the best customer service I have ever delt with. I sent in a pair of gloves in December for warranty. About a week later they called and told me of the denial. She did explain to me their warranty and after this I understood that okay, so this isnt a warranty. I bucked it up and relized that yeah...I am hard on gloves. Yeah...gloves will wear out. I shouldnt have had to have someone tell me this but understood completley when they did. They cant cover all our stupid mistakes! And whoever took the call was probably the receptionist. They have helped me and I know they have helped the majority of us. That doesnt mean they werent doing a good job. Great Company, Great Products,Great customer service even with my gloves being denied! At least I can admit that.

bellyup you should have read my first sentence! They had two rides on them. If your ok with gloves lasting Two rides you need to quit leaving them on the pipe for lunch. You must have selective reading because i was supporting klim. Other than the receptionist.

Boy , I must have got the wrong person at Klim. Tried sending mine back a year ago , due to all of the seams in the fingers coming undone and all they said they could do is charge me to repair them. They did try upselling me to the latest and greatest , but I wasn't impressed with the first pair , why pay the over inflated price again? Dug the old Reima's back out and they are holding up better.

My boots are now leaking (10 rides maybe) and the gloves torn at the base of the fingers on both gloves. First year I bought Klim...I'll see if they stand behind this stuff. They'd better for the cost of it. Boots are soaking my feet now...pretty bad leak and souls are fresh.

Damn I got a pair of $15 gloves that have lasted me 2 seasons now on the sled and 2 seasons of cold weather street bike riding. They don't look as cool as Klim but they work.
