kill switch problems

need more info..be specific..temp of sled, how long it runs for, does it start right back up, or after cooling...ect ect ect ..

first check the throttle lever..is there excessive play in it, look at the pin that holds it in the throttle housing..if it rounds out really bad in there..the safety switches will activate and kill the sled..

if that is not it..could be a stator going bad...

kill switch

Do you store your sled outside (water and freezing)? One easy way to check is to be ready to bypass the kill switch when the problem happens and see right then if it will start. Otherwise move on to other electrical issues.

i was told u could't bypass the kill switch on the cfi sled that they need to be pluged in all the time. the sled dies when u let off the gas and the it is hard to start , i need to take it for a shack down ride to remeber what all it is odingwhen it shuts down. i moved it from the barn to the shio today and when ever i let off the throttle it would die.:present: by the way this is mimmbles-06-700rmk i had to set up a new account

give it a good warm up...

read the TPS sticky at the top of the page..if the TPS setting is off, it can cause all kinds of weird stuff...

you can just unplug your entire kill switch wiring, that will isolate the safety switches...if it runs fine..the throttle housing is worn out...try this first!!

of coarse be careful...as use your key to shut it off since the kill switch will be unplugged...

we would never steer you wrong nor give you bad advice...we have all been there and needed direction...

no worries..just ask, and you shale recieve..help!

thanks. all this help will make it ezer to decide to pay for this r not. i had a sled that didnt have a kill switch and i still most of the time us my key.
