It CAN be a physical problem but most times it's not.
They say an overload of protein and causes bladder control problem.
It can be a psycological result of sexual abuse somewhere.
It can be a result of emotional neglect due to frustration or anger...ie an only child or child who is forced to play alone cause the parent works at home and makes them "leave while mommy is working".

There are a MILLIOn reasons why kids piss their pants who are old enough not to.

My niece is 5 and she pisses her pants ALL the time. Almost daily.
She squated on her dad's laptop one time and took a piss right on top of it when she was 3. That was done out of spite I think.

Saw once at a garage sale they had an electric pad to lay under the kid. When the kid would pee on it the thing would sound a loud alarm. Looked like a big plastic mat that goes under the sheets and had a metal box with the buzzer in it and a light on the top next to the toggle to shut the system off. Not sure if they still make those things or if they are just to out there to use anymore, but never saw one of those before and havent seen something like that since.

again this is not my kid!!! LOL my kids are 4 -2 and my little girl might pee the bed once a month but thats it.!!!!

and on a side note i would sleep threw the bussers and lights my wife would not!! LMAO

actually i have had friends take their kids to chiropractors and had very good results with this problem as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just saying

I did it to my son, he crapped his pants and it was a nice summer day..so I took the hose and squirted his azz with the water

he squeeled and ran around in circles while I held his hand and squirted him, but never crapped his pants again

Bingo. One could be a legitimate medical condition and the other could be a child acting out. Either way, working WITH the child to help correct the problem is going to be more beneficial. Humiliation has never been one of my favored forms of discipline, but some kids do seem to respond to it. Just be careful that you're not creating a larger problem.

I lucked out - my daughter decided she wanted fancy underwear like mom and I told her the only way that was going to happen was if she started going potty in the potty. She took off her diaper and started that day, at 17 months. Hasn't had an accident, ever.

her son pees and poops him self when he is awake!!!! he just does not want to stop playing or doing what ever he is doing to go. he is 8 years old!!!! its not when he is sleeping.
