I went to calumet last night to play hockey. I would say they got a little more than south range. you could prob get some trail riding in. South range and south you could prob do the same. Temps are cold so that's good. Still prob bot worth any sort of drive over an hour...

Any updates? I live in Ashland so only about 35 minutes to ironwood and 1.5 to bergland. Anything worth riding yet.

Trails are ok.. Covered completely though. Hopefully some good les over next 5 days. It's snowing

I heard 12-16" in gwinn,mi.

We had that much in Gwinn, but now down to half of that
We need more snow. Groomers have been out, but its pretty low in some areas. Really need more off trail snow! Watch out for all the logging that was done this summer here, lots of stumps. Our lake could use a couple more inches of ice as well.

Rode from south range to the mosquito yesterday. Plenty of trail show in that area.. We rode a couple logging road a nd in a couple places you could make real pow turns.. Hopefully we get a couple nice les events in the next couple days

His forecast are great. I like snowest a forum better as I feel I can sort out the people that aren't into the same things as myself. A lot more of john dees folks are strictly trail riders so I like knowing that most of you guys probably aren't. Just my .02

I am going to venture over the 18th. I hope we get some more by then. At least enough to cruise some fire roads and what not. I am sick of doing powder turns in 8" of shaaaty snow

Have to have the drive plowed!! Les guns are kickin right now. Prob got 6" so far hopefully we get the mystery 12"... But ya its real white out right now. If we get another 6" or so that will be real pow turn time in toivola and twin lakes area for sure and trails are solid all the way to mass city... I will keep ya posted but we are real close right now. Went to the mosquito for dinner again.. Great folks they deserve everyone's business over that terribly ran hotel twin lakes. You will have a way better time and spend way less money..


As of 6:00pm the les has stopped.. We pulled 6" or so though. Pray for les

It's prob starting to get good but not great. How far of a drive? I gaurantee that you will be able to carve and make real turns in places. If you want to risk it I will ride with ya. Most of my friends can't ride in the week..

looking to come up on the 12th. I know off trail is going to be sketchy but is it even worth coming up to zip around on the trails? Just wanna scratch the itch... been too long...

Twin lakes/toivola as far I can tell is the best in the area.. I don't know though boys its just not that good. Few pow turns but nothing to great so if ya come I will ride but it ain't gonna be great as of now.. I Put a lot of trail miles on that's about it. Tend to just ride places instead of using the truck and it at least helps me feel better..

Under sunny skies.. Gonna go up to the mosquito for lunch and ride around a bit. Groomers really firmed things up a couple of days ago when they pulled snow and they shouldn't have. Almost couldn't ride with out instant over heat issues. At any rate, its better now with this sunny spell so trails will be very enjoyable today...just trail riding though.
