Keith Curtis dominates Jackson Hole!

The man has got skills !The Curtis segments in schooled are the most impressive parts IMO. definitely among the best riders anywhere.

Holy crap that guy can ride. I watched some of his runs on the live feed. Very impressive.

Can't remember if it was the stock or mod 800 run , didn't look like he lifted at all. Another one he ran the entire run with only one foot on the boards the entire way.

Yeah I seen most of his runs today and he just rides at a different level compared to anybody else there.

He had a couple ooooohh craps, but he just recovers and kicks it into another gear, when the other guys would be looking for hill help.

Shoot the announcers, can't even get through his list of sponsors before he goes over the top.

I pray they continue the live feed. The coverage was fantastic and the announcers are outstanding!!!! If they feel like they loose attendance due to the live feed. I would disagree, makes me want to go back. Even my wife watched for a bit and announced she wanted to go.

The live feed is great. After watching it the girlfriend insisted we go next year and called and booked a room already.

Yeah the guy was ON FIRE today.

Fastest time was 1:21, next closest was JR at a 1:27.
I think only 4 guys ended up under 1:30 today and of Keith's 7 total runs, he was only over 1:30 twice. And barely at that!

The Cat guys seemed to be struggling with a super wide front end(I know they want wide, but I kept thinking what would happen with a narrower front end, or a BDX front end) I know two runs in particular, it looked like a spindle caught in a trench and stopped them instantly. Coulda stuffed a ski, but it looked rough. Both times.

And I'm not sure if I saw it correctly, but it looked like some bogging(lag) happening with a couple turbos...looked like they would kick in and see sleds go sideways the same time the skis picked up. Unless the riders were a second off when it came to squeezing the throttle(which I doubt) I'd say some were dealing with fueling and or clutching issues.

Did anyone see Curtis bang his head off the bars and still put down a wicked run?

There were some kicka$$ buckin' horse runs that had me hollerin' from the couch! Can't wait to be able to go back one day!

Yea I hope they dont end the live feeds. I usually go to Jackson every year but this year I had to work a show. So when I could I watched the live feed on my phone lol. Good to see Curtis clean up. He deserves just a straight up animal!!!!!

I was looking at the results. Keith Curtis made it over the top in the 600 stock class faster than what most others did in the bigger stock AND Mod classes. I only see 2 other peoples times that were faster than his 600 stock time, unreal.

That is wicked.

I watched it on live feed also, he is noticeably better, smoother than the rest. Love the live feed but those rodeo announcers.......like nails on a chalkboard.

Watched the Live feeds as well to see Micku in action. These guys are all great riders but Curtis is certainly a notch above the rest.
You can see the confidence in his riding. He's really not afraid to attack those tight corners, he's got that technique figured out pretty good!
If I was competing I would definitely study that aspect very closely for next year... :face-icon-small-win

I agree that kid is a great rider! He had a great day up there. To be fair to the other classes as far as the times go, the stock 600 class was the first to run up the hill. No big trenches to slow them down like was the case later on in the day. Between Gate 10 and 11 there was some deep trenches that were made that made it a little more difficult as the day went on. Lots of guys got stuck at gate 10 and 11. Also at gate 4 there was a 4 foot trench that slowed everyone down as it got worse after every rider. Not as many rocks this year due to the deep snow but man those trenches were deep!

Congrats to Curtis... some other cool things

1) the live feed!!!:amen:
2) The women now get a full schedule:face-icon-small-coo
3) Little Brandon Micku is racing!!! Oh yea he is probably a big guy now (last time I saw him he was 13 and had to pack all the tools for the backcountry rides)
4) I swear Norris "Old School" Brown owns that hill!!:amen:

Wish I could still race....

One other thing was watching Sheppard (sp) take his dad's (Dave) old mod sled over the top. Listening to them old open pipes clear to the top of the hill was pretty cool. I was there when Dave was riding that chassis and actually talked to him about buying it.
Going to Jackson is almost a religious trek at my house. Lots of sun and fun all around.
