Keep or trash?

Found this the other day.. Doesn't appear to be ripped to the backside of the track.

It's a powerclaw 2.25, throw it and grab a 2.6 pc or try to salvage with support from some e6000 adhesive??

Boost was the culprit , sent that poor track ripping through buried shrapnel :)
While I grinned from ear to ear !

Why be disappointed with two tracks. Let the turbo finish eating it, then get a 3".

Run it, that's not much damage.
I've been running a stabbed (bought it used very cheap from the stabber) 174" for two seasons with an anti-stab kit and haven't had a single issue. There is some high-strength nylon webbing bridging the stab but obviously your damage doesn't warrant such measures.

That's nothing, run it. Go ahead and glue it up with the E6000 for a little added life, that stuff works great.

What mods to fit a 3" on a 2011 m8? What are your track suggestions?

A coupled system is needed, IMO. Too much traction and ski lift. I had Tracks USA cut down a CE 3" last year. Way better than the PC. I have the K Mod system with Raptor shocks all around on my 2011 M8 LTD 153 stock rails. The 3" put my sled up on the mountain with the 162 and 163's. There is a new learning curve for the side hilling. You pick it up quickly. Down side to it is, well nothing yet. Watch the new 15" wide 3" tracks. It seems that there is only 14" of paddle width. With the cut track the paddle is to the outside of the belt. They also bevel the top to miss the cooler pipes in the tunnel. The 156X15X3 track fits the 153. I am out of adjustment but it will be ok as long as there is no more stretching. Maybe an excuse for a big wheel kit.

I have black anodized ice age rails waiting to go on before next season, other than that the rear end is stock. Was there any issue clearing the front cooler with the 3" ?

No. I could get my fingers in between the paddles and the cooler. I think K MOD uses ice age rails also. It sure keeps the front down and stops both tracks from digging to China. (PC and CE tracks) I would run the track if you are going to keep the sled, then put the K MOD on first. Throw in the extra coin for Raptors. You will like it.

Def keeping sled, love it!! Thanks for the great info!

Did you do a "turn key" kmod or an upgrade? Emailed them about the upgrade fitting ice age rails, assuming it will...

Kevin will treat you good.
Upgrade with Raptor shocks.
Keeping the sled means that after you put $2000 into the skid/shocks, $1100 into the track, $240 into MDS weights you have no desire to sell it and buy a new one next year.

Not to change the subject but does the kmod adjust from fully coupled to virtually non coupled quickly? Sometimes a guy WANTS to wheelie :)

Check to see if your package comes with the 4 position coupler. It is quick and easy to change by hand in the field. I bought my system prior to Kevin having this. I don't know if Kevin is adding it to the package. I think it was $125 but worth it.

Throw out a track because of one ripped lug? Lol

Hey if you ever bend an a-arm and need to throw a whole sled out I've got a great dumpster....

It was more a question of track strength based on where the lug tore. Wasn't sure if I would run into problems and wanted to avoid ruining a 12 hour drive west. Was just looking for suggestions and experienced opinions.
