This is what I hit mid-air with my head! Bailed off of my sled and flew 6' head first into this!

Wouldn't of done any good! Running board caught me just above the goggles and right below the brim of my helmet...Helmet took the blunt of it. Would of been a different story had I hit any lower on my face!

No disrespect Snobi, I could be mistaken but don't you wear a chrome color top cap style helmet, not sure what it's called? If so wearing a full face helmet with a visor would have been better suited to take that hit, do you think? just asking your thoughts not being a smart arz or anything. That must of hurt bad.

Glad you made it with only a lil war wound on the mellon. I know you do a lot of solo riding and I hope this was not one of those times. No matter how good we think we are or how careful we are going to be, Mrs Mother Nature and Mr. Physics along with there offspring Murphy's Law seem to always come in to play when least expected.

Had a full face helmet on...caught me just above the goggles...and just below the front of the helmet. Had one of these on
Hey Smuck, since Snobi hasn't replied I will, he was wearing a full face helmet with a flip down visor, visor was up however, he was wearing goggles. Took a perfect shot to my running boards between the goggles and helmet opening with a loud "crack "sound. It was kind of like standing on a five foot ladder and diving head first onto a Xm running board, thought he broke his wrist as well, but it seemed alright after a little first aid to the forehead. I think I know the helmet you were talking about, might have been Sled2Shred.

Ya you are right, sorry got the names mixed up. That is crazy that it went to that exact spot. I am glad to see he's ok, and facial scars are always cool when you get older.

all due respect is the helmet okay
Helmet hardly has a scratch on it.Forehead all healed up now!!
Lucky you didn't take it in the throat! I broke a rib a couple weeks back even though I was wearing my avy vest with armor in it and a Troy Lee padded shirt. A Cat mountain bar weaseled it's way through and around the protection.
If I was wearing my modular helmet...which I normally do...more than likely my visor would of been up with NO protection to my face..and it would of crushed my face in...The impact I made almost sounded like 2 snowmobiles hitting each other!!
..Don't want a repeat..EVER!!
