Just getting into modding need some advice?

Im thinking full exhaust, intake, reeds, and speedwerxs head kit, with egt's, A/f gauge and a boondocker box. where would be the best place to start?..rite from stock and get all the egt and a/f reading then slowly put parts on and try to keep the reading as close to stock as i can and check the plugs? any advice would be great. thanks

its a 08 m1000.... have been running a y-pipe can and intake for 300 miles without a box or any egts or a/f...but im going to get all different parts except the air intake
